The Missouri Boggs Family Need Prayer

Hey Friends,

I am coming to you with another serious prayer request. Thanks for always praying for the special needs I bring to you!

Update

Here is an update on Bro. Herman Woods. I requested prayer for him earlier in the week. He did have surgery on Thursday.

His family told us the surgery went well. Hopefully he can go home soon. Yesterday he was having pain, which is to be expected after surgery. Recovery from major surgery is never a walk in the park.

We are thanking God for bringing him this far! Now we are praying for a speedy recovery. I hope he feels better than he has in a long while!

Missouri Boggs Family

The Boggs Family from Missouri has been our friend for many years. We share a last name and consider them family. They have stood by us, helped and prayed for us. They are incredible family friends!

Now, they need desperate prayer! Tragedy struck them last week. 6-year-old Bridger Ransom Boggs passed away in a horrible accident.

Bridger leaves behind precious parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A host of people are left devastated and reeling!

His family members are begging for prayers. They know prayer will see them through this dark time! They are comforted know he is with Jesus. That will never take away all the heartache!

Mom and I are heartbroken for our friends!! We cannot even begin to fully understand their grief journey. We do know that prayers of the saints can help carry them! Please join us in praying for Bridger's parents, Bro. Duste and Sis. Erin Boggs and all of their family!

Thank you for reading!

Beckham Is One

 Hey Friends,

My regular readers will recognize Beckham. He is my cousins Jonas and Kylee's boy. You all have helped us pray hard for this little guy!

August 30th 2025, Beckham Porter Boggs was born. We were smitten from the beginning. We knew he was a special dude.

Little did we know the health battles that laid ahead for him in the coming days, weeks and months. God brought him through a lot of stuff in the last year! Thanks for the prayers. Beckham is a warrior. He has rallied and persevered with courage.

The war is not over. According to doctors he has a major battle to face. His rare genetic disorder makes him a candidate for a bone marrow transplant. We are still hoping and praying for divine intervention. God is well able to turn things around.

Soon, they have an appointment with the  BMT specialist. Hopefully Jonas and Kylee will know more of a game plan then. The doctor wanted to wait until Beckham is one. Maybe another form of treatment will be available for his age now.

Earlier this month they celebrated his big birthday. We did not get to be there, but I am so thankful for video and pictures. Thanks to Aunt Holly for supplying party pics! His 1 year photos are adorable.

We love our little guy so much. He is a miracle boy! Here is a comparison of Beckham and his Uncle Davy the Great. I think they favor each other.

See you later.

Happy Birthday Deidre Faye

 Hey Friends,

Today is a special day in our family history. 8/26/92, the next Boggs grandchild entered the world.

Here are my reflections on that day in 1992. We were evangelizing at the time. We just happened to be home on that day. We were excited to meet our newest family addition. Dad spent the day at the hospital with Steve and Karen. She was his first niece.

I was 6 and a half years old, and I remember waiting impatiently at the house. I wanted baby news right now. Of course, we had to wait and wait and wait.

Finally, the call came, the baby was here. It was a girl! I was thrilled to no end. I had a new BFF! Deidre Faye Boggs changed my world for the better!

It took several years for our relationship to get to the sister/cousin bond we share 34 years later. She is definitely one of the greatest blessings in my life.

We have laughed, dreamed, cried and prayed together. We have been through a lot of good days and rough days, but we have always havs each other's back.

Lots of time miles keep us apart, but thank God for calls, FaceTime and text! I am so proud of the lady she is today.

Deidre Faye Boggs Shoemaker wears many hats as a wife, Mama, pastor's wife, teacher and much more. She will always be my little sissy and answer to prayer!

So I pause to wish Deidre a Happy 34th Birthday! I love you so very much!! I hope you have the best birthday ever!

Thank you for your continued prayers for Deidre. From what I know, she still does not have all the answers to her recent health problems.

We are thankful for every good day that she has had. I pray the continue to get better! God is well able to complete the work in her body. I know He is working on her behalf!

Thank you, God for peace, strength and every answered prayer! May your grace carry Deidre and her precious family through this battle.

See you tomorrow!

Sunday Sanity 8/16/26

 Hey Friends,

Yesterday afternoon, Mom and I were feasting on the song written from Psalm chapter 34. It was the mana we needed for the moment!

I apologize if my neighbor heard us singing this last night. We were having a personal worship session. I am thankful that we can worship God anytime and anywhere!

Today, I figured that I would share this song with you. Hoping that it will also encourage your soul and give you a nugget of sanity for this Sunday.

We both really like the Brooklynn Tabernacle version of this song. I hope you can listen to it and let these words wash over your mind.

Psalm 34

Verse 1

I sought the Lord
And He answered me
And delivered me
From every fear
Those who look on Him
Are radiant
They'll never be ashamed
They'll never be ashamed

This poor man cried
And the Lord heard me
And saved me from
My enemies
The Son of God
Surrounds His saints
He will deliver them
He will deliver them

Chorus

Magnify thе Lord with me
Come exalt His namе together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Verse 3

Oh, taste and see
That the Lord is good
Oh, blessed is He
Who hides in Him
Oh, fear the Lord
Oh, all you saints
He'll give you everything
He'll give you everything

Come exalt His name together
Glorify the Lord with me
Come exalt His name forever

Every day and night
Never-ending praise

Never-ending praise
May our incense rise

Let us bless the Lord
Every day and night

DRPC Our Home Sweet Church

 Hey Friends,

We are still getting back in the swing of things at home. My body clock is having a hard time switching back from West Coast time this time around. Hopefully, I am about to get it figured out.

I was excited to get back to our church last night. We are blessed with the best church family at DRPC!

They are so supportive of us with their prayers and love! They are also good at letting us know we are missed when we are gone. It feels good to belong to a church family!

Bro. Andrew Blevins preached great last night! It was a message straight to my soul. He encouraged us to rejoice in the Lord!

In the book of Philippians, we are commanded to rejoice and the Lord always. The circumstances of life may make it difficult to rejoice, But they do not change our obligation to rejoice.

There is one thing that we can all Rejoice about as Christians. We are saved and our sins are under the blood of Jesus! Oh hallelujah, I have a reason to rejoice today and forever more!

Can you join me today in rejoicing? If you are anything like me, you have a mountain of things to rejoice about. But in those moments when it's hard to rejoice, Find one thing to rejoice about. Soon the joy, the Lord will be your strength in your guide!

Thanks for joining me today! I will see you tomorrow.

Diverting For Deidre

 Hey Friends,

Saturday, I told you we took a red-eye flight Friday night. What I did not share was our flight diversion. We had an Atlanta layover, as planned. Saturday’s final destination changed.

In Atlanta, we boarded a plane and headed to Jackson, Mississippi. Mom and I were able to surprise Deidre! The shock on her face was amazing when we came through the door.

She thought DoorDash was bringing dinner. She had no clue that she had personal Dashers for a couple of days. It was a sweet moment.

We visited them Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We were able to love on her and pray for her! I needed to see my Sissy!

God has helped her tremendously. Her faith is strong. We are believing with her for grace to endure and a complete miracle.

Last I heard, she was still awaiting test results to confirm the possible diagnosis. NOTHING IS TOO BIG FOR GOD. We are choosing to thank Him in advance for a miracle! Please pray with us for Deidre and Ben and the family!

So that brings me to yesterday. It was our day to go home. Bright and early we were headed to Atlanta. Then home after a good layover.... I think I will tell the rest of the story tomorrow.

Sunday Sanity 8/9/26

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for praying for my sweet sister/cuz Deidre and her family! We have gotten some answers, but we are still praying for God to move! She is still undergoing testing.

I was reminded of this statement I wrote in my notes a while back. Bro. Jeremy Henson's words encouraged me then. I am still feasting on them today. It is today's nugget of sanity!

But God……........................................
Two little words-
Six letters that turn things completely around!”

I must remember that our God is bigger than our circumstances. He is involved in every detail!

See you tomorrow.

Happy Birthday America

 Hey Friends,

Today is our Country's 250th birthday! I am proud to be an American! I am grateful that God placed me in my great homeland. I have heard it said that it is the "Greatest country on God's Green Earth"!

Happy Birthday, America! 250 years, wow what a milestone.

On July 4th 1776, we gained our independence from England. Thank you to visionaries who believed, fought, gave their lives and prayed for our country. Because of them we have freedom today.

I still value and hold dear our precious freedoms. I am thankful for every sacrifice of our founding fathers and leaders! Your amazing patriotism has not been forgotten.

I have been singing an old Jeff and Sheri Easter song, in my head, for days. It is called My Country. I had pull it up to listen to it.

Our nation was built on God. He has never left us. We as a country have left Him. I pray God have mercy on us. Please give us a revival in our country again. Lord, let is start right here with me!

Today, and every day we are comanded to pray for our nation and leaders! I want everyone to experience God's life changing touch. That would definitely change America.

God Bless the USA, My Country!

The Lord Is Good Reminder

 Hey Friends,

I hope you are keeping cool during this heat wave. The intense summer heat has arrived here in the Miami Valley. It is warm, but I am glad to be warm. I am immensely grateful for the cool air conditioning, which provides us with relief from the excessive temperatures.

Here is a clip of the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church Kids Choir. They sang to us a couple of weeks ago during a Sunday service. They reminded us that "The Lord Is Good".

Sometimes we all need to jog our memory about how awesome our God really is. His mercy will endure forever. We must praise Him for His greatness in our lives.

When I watched this video clip back today. I kept thinking out of the mouth of babes, we have been reminded. The is all the time good!

I hope you enjoyed my little friend's. They love to sing and worship God. I am so proud of them!

Thank you for reading and watching.

Shady Springs Youth Camp 1997 Memory

 Hey Friends,

June 11th 1997, I was 11 years old. It was youth camp week at Shady Springs in Indiana. I was an exuberant camper!

I loved youth camp. My friends and I started the countdown to youth camp months in advance. We would sit down with our calendars and physically count the days. We probably drove our youth leaders, counselors and parents crazy.

My goal at youth camp for that year was to get the Holy Ghost. I had been seriously seeking the Holy Ghost for a while. I had been so close, but struggled to receive that special gift from God.

I was determined to come home full of the Holy Ghost! 29 years ago tonight, the Lord rewarded my seeking and praise. He baptized me with the Holy Ghost.

I am still so thankful for that life-changing experience at youth camp! I have never been the same since that night!

That week at Shady, I made memories for a lifetime. I made friendships that are still real today. God was working in my life for the long haul. Praise the Lord for his blessings!

Thank you to my parents, my pastor, my church, my youth leaders, the camp workers and the speakers who sent me and worked with me during camp. Your sacrifices were worth it! My friend group was amazing! Their prayers and friendship helped me so much! I am so thankful for my camp memories.

We do not have to discuss the bad memory of that year. Our heads will all be itching. The Holy Ghost helped me survive the bad memory!

PSA
1 NEVER share a hairbrush at camp!!
2. NEVER pile 4 girls in two bottom bunks at camp!!

The Holy Ghost is still a precious gift that I will forever cherish!  The comforting power of the Holy Ghost is sweeter now than it was then!

Thank you for stopping by to chat. See you tomorrow.

Henry and Penelope Welch Dedication

Hey Friends,

Earlier this year, DRPC was blessed with 2 new members. Phillip and Candace welcomed Henry and Penelope. The babies are miracles!

They made an extremely early arrival. We prayed long and hard for them. The Lord helped them defy the odds. Both babies have been fighters and won many battles.

Their hospital stays were lengthy and a roller coaster ride of emotions. A while back, they came home, and we are so grateful.  Both of them are growing and adjusting to life.

Candace is our cousin on the Boggs side. We watched Phillip grow up on our visits to California. Little did we know that they would meet and fall in love. It has been amazing to watch God bless them with these little miracles!

Sunday morning, Henry and Penelope were dedicated. Phillip’s family came from 3 different states. It was great to see our friends. Candace had several of her family members there, too. Those were also our family members, so it was good to be in service with them.

Here are some pictures I have from the dedication.

I can not wait to watch these little ones grow up. We are going to be buddies! They have no choice.

Congratulations Candace and Phillip! We love your precious family!

Thank you for visiting with us.

8 Years Of Thankfulness

 Hey Friends,

I have been reflecting on a special memory. Today is a memorable date for me. 8 years ago today, my Beach Cottage home was deemed livable.

That morning, the inspector came for a final inspection. I was immensely thrilled when Dad called me. I could move in.

I did not yet own furniture, so we made a trip to Ikea. There, we picked up some furniture. My Aunt and Uncle loaned me some pieces.

Once we returned home from Ikea, some of our family came to help me get situated. By bedtime, things were set up enough that I could stay in my house.

I was thrilled to spend my first night in my home. I could hardly go to sleep. I was overcome with gratitude to be surrounded by my miracle of a home!

8 years later my gratitude has not waned! God saw the bigger picture when made my special a reality! I needed it more than I ever imagined!

Thank you dear God, for my blessing of a Beach Cottage!!

See you later.

A Thursday Check In 5/7/26

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for stopping by to visit. We are going to be on the road traveling home today. We appreciate your prayers!

Weather

We had planned to head home yesterday after Sis. McDonald's funeral. Upon reviewing the forecasted weather along our route, we decided to stay an extra night in Mississippi.

I am so glad we made that decision. The weather did get rocky for a while. I did not want to be on the road in bad storms. We were not scared but cautious. We had to take cover.

Thankfully we were safe. Others not far from us got hit by a bad tornadoes. My heart hurts for those people. I know they could use extra prayers right now!

One More Thing

Before I close I want to say Happy Birthday to Kylee Boggs! We love you, Kylee! Hope you have a fabulous birthday.

See you all tomorrow.

Sunday Sanity 4/12/26

 Hey Friends,

Everyday is made for the worship of our Almighty God! Sundays are extra special, because we get to gather with fellow Christians for our times of public worship.

God is with us at all times. We have the privilege to be able to worship Him any time anywhere. It is an honor to worship God.

I just want to publicly thank Him for His grace, goodness and mercy in my life. My life would be miserable without Him by my side. I am thankful today for the privilege of worship!

Today's sanity is a statement my pastor said.

“Worship is not a drudgery.
It’s a refreshment.”

Pastor Bennie D. Sutherland

DRPC Moraine, Ohio

So let's go to church today with our soul ready to be refreshed in worship.

Thankful For Gods Traveling Mercy

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for visiting. We appreciate your prayers yesterday. Our travel day went smoothly.

There were a few hiccups, but overall, the traffic was good. Thankfully, we had sunshine and warm weather for most of the day.

I am very grateful to God. He protects us and helps us so much! Mom and I talked yesterday about all the miles we have traveled through the years. The Lord has been with us the whole way.

We have had breakdowns, minor accidents, and problems, but God always helped us get through them. We have also experienced many miles of uneventful travel. I will forever be grateful.

We pray for God’s guidance and protection. He is so good to answer those request for us. I want to pause and thank God with a full heart.

See you tomorrow!

Pause And Praise 2/18/26

 Hey Friends,

I have to share something that recently caused me to rejoice. The other day, our Boggs family group text started going off with cute pics.

Mamaw and Papaw met several family members for dinner. I loved getting all the cute pics!

Here are the two that cause me to Pause And Praise today.

Mamaw and Papaw were thrilled to get to spend some time with our sweet baby Beckham. The Lord has brought him so far. It was not long ago that we were begging God to help him breathe!

That time was so scary for our whole family. I know it was especially hard for Becham’s parents and grandparents! Thank you so much for helping us pray!

The Lord helped the doctors find the solution to the problem. Beckham was in the hospital for weeks. We all felt helpless.

Beckham is a fighter. His health battles are not over. Doctors say he needs a bone marrow transplant to cure a rare genetic issue. They are trying to find him a match. While we are praying concerning this matter, I am praising God for answered prayers. He gave us victory and I believe He will again!

Thank you again for praying for Beckham! Please Pause and Praise with me! God is good in the good and bad times.

DRPC Kids Choir Sing Famous For

 Hey Friends,

I hope you enjoy this video of the DRPS Kids Choir. I captured this from my front row seat.

Sis. Emily Roberts does a fantastic job leading the kids. They love to sing, and do so with all their hearts!

It is precious to see them learning to worship! God rewards their worship with a special visitation of His Holy Spirit during the choir’s singing.

I love this song! I just had to share the video with my friends.  I hope you have a great day.

See you tomorrow.
