Dryden Road Indoor 2025 Save The Date

 Hey Friends,

Summer is in full swing. I am not trying to rush the weeks away.  We must make plans for the days ahead.

One of our church's busiest and best weeks is always our annual indoor fellowship meeting. People come from near and far to hear wonderful preaching and experience God's presence in spectacular ways! I believe our lives will be changed for the better! It is a highlight of the year at DRPC!

Indoor 2025 will take place from August 19th to 22nd. Dryden Road Pentecostal Church is located at 3201 Dryden Road, Moraine, Ohio.

The scheduled 7 PM and 8AM speakers are Pastor Bill Parks and Pastor Dwain Galiher. We love both of theses Men of God and their wives. They are some of the best preachers! Visiting ministers will speak during the vesper services.

The service schedule is as follows: Tuesday - Friday night at 7 PM. On Wednesday - Friday, there will also be both 10 AM and a 6 PM vesper services.

Breakfast will be served Wednesday -Friday, 8-9 AM. Lunch will be served after the 10AM services. The DRPC young people provide a meal after each of the 7PM services.

Our church is blessed to have some wonderful cooks! I know you will enjoy the food provided!

Please come join us at DRPC for Indoor 2025! Mark your calendars!  August is right around the corner, and now is the time to plan to be here!

Thanks for reading! I will see you all tomorrow!

Weekend Wrap Up 6/23/25

 Hey Friends,

Our Saturday began bright and early. We were on the road by 7:15 AM, heading back toward Ohio. The trip between Sigourney, Iowa and Waynesville, Ohio, takes around 8 hours and 15 minutes. Our goal was to make the whole trip in one day.

We did take it slow. Mom had some stops built in along the way. It was a hot day to travel, but thankfully the sun was shining. The traffic was light on our route. The worst thing we encountered was all the construction zones along the way.

Most of them noody was working, but that did not change the photo enforced speed limits. We did not want to risk the chance of getting a speeding ticket! Mom chose to not exceed the speed limit, in those zones.

Our first stop of the day was at my favorite truckstop! The world‘s largest truckstop, Iowa 80 in Walcott, Iowa. I was happy to be back at one of my favorite places.

We stopped for some breakfast and walked around the store for a little bit. I enjoyed the stop, but missed my Daddy! I know, it is strange to think, going to a large truckstop was a big first for me without my Daddy. I felt weird getting emotional. I held it in until we got back in the car.

I loved seeing how happy it made him to take me to one of my favorite places. I am so glad for the memories that I have with my Daddy!

Here are thr pictures that I took Saturday. When we return to Iowa next year, I will try to recreate some of the pictures Dad took.

You can read about our previous visits by clicking on the blue links below. I had a few laughs going back to read Dad's post. Dad tagged it as my happiest place on Earth. We visited there three other times through the years, 2011, 2014 and 2019.

For any new readers, I grew up as a radio junkie. One of my favorite things to listen to was our local AM radio station that had, The Trucking Bozo. His show, is where I first learned of Iowa 80 Truckstop! I guess I was a weird child!

The next step on the GPS for us, was in Indianapolis area. We did have to make another few pitstops. we spent a couple hours in the Indianapolis area to do a little bit of shopping and grab dinner.

The only other picture I took while traveling Saturday was of our dinner at City BBQ in Greenwood, Indiana.
Man, that was a fine meal!

Home was the next stop! it was great to roll into the driveway on Saturday night. By the time we got the car, unloaded and settled down it was late. It sure felt good to crawl into my bed that night!

I had a thankful heart because God gave us a wonderful trip!  from the start to the finish and everything in between we were blessed!

Sunday, it was great to be back in service with our church family at DRPC. We enjoyed getting to hear our Pastor B.D. Sutherland preach and see so many of our dear friends!

I only snapped a few pictures Sunday.

That wraps up our wonderful weekend! See you tomorrow!

Sunday Sanity 6/8/25

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for stopping by to visit us today. Here is a nugget of sanity for your Sunday.
This was from a couple of months ago.

In April, Bro. Lynn and Sis. Arlene Head preached revival at our church, DRPC. This was the title of Bro. Head’s message one night. His question struck a chord with me, and I have thought about it many times since that night.

Bro. Lynn and Sis. Arlene Head

“Are you going to worship, or are you going to worry?”
Bro. Lynn Head- Georgia

Worry gets us nowhere in life! I once heard that worry is like a rocking chair.

love rocking in my glider on the porch. Rocking will not take me anywhere. I am still on the porch, even if I rock for hours.
Guess what? My worry will still surround me!

Worship of God will take me into His presence! That is the exact place that I desire to be! The presence of the King of Kings makes everything better!

See y'all tomorrow! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Sunday Night Of Celebrating Babies

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for spending part of your Wednesday with us. I hope your week is going well. We are doing good here at home.

I told you about our Saturday events on Monday and Tuesday. Now I am here to tell you about two wonderful things that happened Sunday evening. One was before church, and the other was after church.

Our church, DRPC, is adding some new members this year. It is always fun to know that there are babies on the way!

Sunday afternoon, it was baby shower time. We were celebrating the upcoming arrival of baby Dotson.

I am so excited for Darren and Abby. Their baby girl should make her arrival next month!

After church, it was time to celebrate baby Ellis!

I believe every child is a gift from God! Lauren and Dustin have prayed for a baby for a long time! God has answered their prayers and they have a little one on the way in November.

Sunday night's gathering was to reveal the gender of their miracle!
Our entire church was excited!

Getting ready for the reveal. It is a????

He 💙 or She🩷 what will it be? Dad would say a baby, that is what it will be. 🤣

Yes, that is pink. It is a girl! She is going to be so loved!

I am thrilled for both of these couples!  I can not wait to meet their new baby girls! Please keep the Dotson and The Ellis families in your prayers! I know both families would appreciate extra prayers, as they begin their new chapters in life!

That wraps up our busy weekend. Thanks again for tuning in! I will close with one more picture from Sunday night. This is Mom with our dear sweet Albany! We love her!

Sunday Sanity 6-1-25

 Hey Friends,

Happy Sunday! Here is a brief word of wisdom that stuck out to me recently.

Bro. Jared Burris made this statement in a sermon at church. It spoke to me. I thought it would be a good nugget for Sunday Sanity.

Prayer and life go together.
Where there is prayer there is life.
When there is no prayer there is no life.”
Bro. Jared Burris
- Springboro, Ohio

Thank for reading. I hope and pray you have a blessed Sunday!

2025 Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

 Hey Friends,

I am so glad you stopped by to visit with us. I hope your week is going well!

Here is a quick update on my Mamaw. Mom and I spent some time with them at the hospital yesterday afternoon. She was still very weak, but improving!

The doctor was pleased with her progress and her numbers. The plan was for her to go home sometime today!

She wanted me to thank everyone for their prayers and concern for her. Thank God for answering our prayers!

I have some photos from our weekend to share with you. On Saturday, we spent time with my Uncle Danny Morgan and his family, Gran and Papaw. We had a great day with them!

The weather was perfect for a zoo day, so we visited the Columbus, Ohio, zoo. It was extremely crowded!

We were thrilled to spend the day enjoying sunshine and family. Although I only captured a handful of pictures, countless memories were made! This was little Kolby’s first zoo trip.

Sunday afternoon we also had more Morgan family time. Mom and I decided to surprise everyone and show up for the Mother's Day family dinner.

With two services at our church on Sunday, my mom being in the hospital And my mom's parents live an hour and a half away, I did not know if we could pull it off. The day was jampacked full, but I am so glad that we were able to be with my grandmother for a little while on Mother's Day.

Saturday and Sunday both we did spend some time with my Boggs Grandparents! I did not take any pictures of my Mamaw since she was in the hospital. Sick or not, she is still beautiful!

Here is a picture from a few weeks ago! I love both Mamaw and Papaw dearly!

We will wrap it up with a few pictures that I snapped during church on Sunday. We are blessed to be part of DRPC!

See you all tomorrow!

Mamaw Update And Monday Meditation

 Hey Friends,

Mamaw Update

Thank you for praying for my sweet Mamaw, and thank the Lord for helping her! We went to see her yesterday afternoon. At that point, she was still in Afib. Mamaw did not want to have her heart shocked this morning.

Not long after we left the hospital, we received an update. Then her heart rate was back to normal and staying there!

Praise the Lord! I  am so thankful for some good news! We are continuing to pray for a complete recovery.

I want God to give her supernatural strength, which only comes from Him! Just being 80 years old does not disqualify her from a miracle! Nothing is impossible with God!

Monday Meditation

Our pastor, Bro. Bennie Sutherland preached a masterpiece last night. It was on faith and believing in miracles. I wish all of you had been there to hear it in person! There is no way that I can describe the wonderful message to you here today.

I will tell you this: The Lord met me powerfully last night! My heart is overflowing! I may not be walking yet, but I expect it to happen anytime!

I am beyond grateful that the Lord blessed me so mightily. The visitation of His spirit is a precious thing. He renewed my faith and encouraged my soul!

I have one little nugget to leave you with. I will be meditating on this for days! This was too good to wait for Sunday Sanity!

If I believe Him, I have NOTHING to lose! But if I don't believe Him, I have EVERYTHING to lose!”

Pastor Bennie D. Sutherland

5/11/25 DRPC Moraine, Ohio

Today I choose anew to believe! Here my heart’s cry!  “Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief!” Let today be the day! I am praising you God in advance! You deserve ALL the glory and the honor!

Thank you, friends, for reading! I will see you all tomorrow.

 Hey Friends,

April is drawing to a close, and we had a great weekend. Here is a glimpse into our life lately.

Thursday night, we had a surprise at church. Bro. Casey, Sis. Christian, Carrington and Carter West visited DRPC. It was great to see and hear our friends once again!

They are so sweet and we love them! Here, you can read a post Dad wrote in 2022, this details our bond with the West Family. I am grateful that God is blessing their family and ministry.

Friday, I did not leave the house. Mom ran errands. We worked on laundry and projects. I did take a picture of my yummy Pizza Bowl dinner from Marco’s.

Saturday we journeyed to Hillsboro, Ohio. Mom and I enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant. We were joined by my grandparents and Aunt Kim.

We spent a few hours visiting with them at Gran and Papaw’s house. Wade and Seth also came over it was an afternoon filled with laughter, family and fun. I captured a few pictures. I love all of my precious family!
