Weekend In Richton, Mississippi

Hey Friends,

Today, I have a some pictures from our weekend in Richton, Mississippi. Mom and I arrived here on Thursday. We are so glad to be here for a while with Bro. Scott and Sis. Kim Morris and all of their family!

This week, we will be doing prep work for the tent revival in Richton, which will take place from the 15th to the 19th.

Here is just a picture of some of the food that was left where we are staying, for us to enjoy! They spoil us!

When Bro. Scott picked up the tent in Ohio this summer, Mom went ahead and sent most of our sound equipment with him. We will be using it next week during tent revival.

It was here waiting on us upon our arrival. This is a familiar sighting but when I had not seen in a while. it brought back lots of memories!

Friday evening we met up with Morris is for dinner at Mexican restaurant. The picture above is of my personal glass/picture of A Diet Coke. They know how to quench a thirst! I think I got my moneys worth!

Saturday afternoon we enjoyed dinner with the Morris family at their home! It was a wonderful evening!

Sunday night, we went to church at First Assembly in Richton. It was wonderful to see all of our dear friends that feels like family! Bro. Scott Morris preached a very challenging yet encouraging message. He was trying to get us all ready for the revival, and for more of God!

That's a wrap on our weekend full of adventure!

Last night and tonight we are singing at the End of The Road meeting Near Calvert, Alabama. I will have more details about that coming later this week.

Thank you for reading!

Richton Mississippi Tent Revival 2025 Details

 Hey Friends,

Mom and I have been anxiously waiting to make this announcement. We will be participating in a tent revival next month in Richton, Mississippi!

A 2025 tent revival has been in the planning stages for months. We were waiting to get the details in place. Everything is scheduled, and we are praying for a mighty move of God.

Pastor Scott Morris and Richton First Assembly are hosting a tent revival again this year! They have been having tent revivals for a long time. Our family has been blessed to be part of them for many years!

Richton tent revival was a highlight of our year! Souls were saved, lives changed, bodies and minds healed! The power of God has been marvelous during passed tent revivals!

I know we cannot live in the past, but I thank God for precious memories! Dad was happiest preaching under the tent. He had a God given anointing to reach for a hurting soul!

Dad wanted the Gospel Tent to be passed on to Pastor Scott Morris and First Assembly. We carried out his wishes earlier this summer. The gospel message goes on!

Pastor Scott Morris wanted to honor Dad’s life and legacy this year. Each night the guest will be people that were important to Dad.

The dates for 2025 tent revival will be Monday-Friday,September 15-19. The revival will take place at Richton Recreation Park. Highway 15S Richton, Ms 39476. Services will be held nightly at 7:15.

Monday: Pastor Tim Cauley
Forts Lake Assembly Moss Point, Mississippi

Tuesday: Pastor Brent Gabbard

Wednesday: Pastor Scott Morris

Thursday: Pastor Kenny Morris

We are thrilled to be part of this special meeting. Some of our family will be on hand that week. We would love to have more friends there too!

For more information about the revival, you can contact Pastor Scott Morris at (601)788-4843.

Here is some out of town travel info. Hotels are available in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. If you may be flying to revival, Mobile, Alabama, Gulfport, Mississippi, Jackson, Mississippi, or Pensacola, Florida are airports that you could check.  The closest airport would be Pine Belt  in Laurel/Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It is a great airport to fly in and out of, but it is super small. I know flights coming in and out of there are very limited!

As I said, we would love to see you there! Please be in prayer with us for a wonderful, move of God in each and every service! I cannot think of a better way for Dad’s memory to be honored, than for God to give us a wonderful revival! We are also praying for good weather!

Thank you for reading! Save these dates in your calendar! Please help us spread the word about this exciting revival!

Please keep scrolling there's even more to come! I know you are going to  enjoy hearing from Mom!

40 years ago, I had no clue of the adventure my life was going to become. I was a kid with only an imagination of what life with Davy Boggs would be like.

On June 29, 1985, we stepped out into the great unknown and began our life together.

As a child I loved traveling for vacation with my parents. I guess they didn’t know they were equipping me for my future.

Davy has taken me around the world in ministry and in travel for relaxation and recuperation. I cannot remember all the years he had traveled and preached over 300 nights a year.

He loved to take me to explore new places whether it be churches or National Parks or foreign countries. We shared a great love of travel.

I lost Davy on this road of companionship a few months short of 40 years. Now my journey has changed a bit.

I am having to explore and travel in a different way without him beside me leading the way or cheering me on.

As I plan something for the future. I will never stop traveling with him in my heart and mind.

I hear his caution, advice and feel his affirmation as I try to go on. I am grateful for the 40 years he took care of me and I will always carry him with me.

I will celebrate this anniversary being grateful for Davy, a wonderful husband, friend and road warrior.
I want everyone to know how good he was to me.

I give glory to God for giving me Davy for the time I had him.
God is So Good.

A Monumental Day

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for visiting! I have something special to share with you today. We received a long awaited delivery yesterday.

Back on Valentine's Day, we visited Maggard Memorials in Lebanon, Ohio. There, we found a wide array of options for the new stone that would mark Dad and Ali's shared final resting place.

Their customer service was top-notch! We were so pleased. They helped us design a beautiful memorial to mark the grave.

We placed the order, and it took several months to complete. Miami Cemetary only pours the footers for new stones twice a year, in spring and fall.

Here is the little stone that had marked my sister's grave up until a few months ago. Dad had always wanted to get a large stone with room for three names.

We were hoping the new stone would be ready by Ali's birthday in May. The  new stone and footer both were ready by then.

Sadly, the weather did not cooperate as we had hoped. Torrential downpours had created lots of mud and soft ground in the cemetery. There was nothing that could be done about it.

This is what the spot looked like on Memorial Day.

It has been sunny and dry for several days. We were hoping that it would soon be delivered!

Yesterday afternoon, my grandparents called to say the stone was in place. We went to the cemetery as quickly as we could to see it for ourselves!

Front- It is hard to get pictures without reflection the surroundings.

The Back that it is facing the road. Mom took this from the bench in our Boggs section.

The stone looks even better in person, than it did on a computer screen! I did not know  that I could think a head stone was so beautiful! Our entire family is thrilled with the outcome!

Here are some pictures after the flowers were added to the vases on either side.

I love this beautiful memorial for my Daddy and my sister!  This is the inscription that we chose to put on the back. I think it sums up Dad’s life well!
"After a full life of service, Davy has gone home to his God."

The pictures on the front are two of our favorites. We struggled finding exactly what we wanted on the back. Mom came up with a solution that I love! She combined parts of three different photos to get the perfect one.

The tent was part of a tent setup or teardown in Thomasville, Alabama. The BoggsMobile photo was taken at Bethany Revival Center in Wichita, Kansas. Actually, that is the last place Dad ever preached. The photo of Dad preaching was taken in Mexico. He was preaching under Bro. Larry Landress' tent.

We know Dad and Ali are not at Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio. Only the shells that held them here were laid beneath the sod. I am glad that we can honor their memory! One great day the trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will rise to meet Him in the air! I am anxious to be reunited with them! Oh, glorious day!

That wraps up the story of a beautiful memorial. Thanks for reading! I will see you all tomorrow!
