The Dedication of Amazing Grace Holiness Tabernacle

Saturday was a full and blessed day at Amazing Grace Holiness Tabernacle in Atwater, California. The service started at noon but folks were there preparing much earlier and there were people still cleaning up and visiting after 6:00 in the evening. It was truly a great day.

The folks started gathering in early Saturday for Dedication and soon it was full and running over. It was awesome to see the church with people every where including the lobby and out on the front porch and steps.

Regan can not help it. She is spiritual and church has not even started yet.

Bro. Jack Helton started the service off leading some hymns. The Spirit of the Lord moved into the new sanctuary from the very beginning.

Pastor Jared Burris rehearsed for us many of the miracles that God has given Amazing Grace Holiness Tabernacle the last 6 1/2 years. We were laughing, crying and praising God all at the same time.

There were a few specials songs for the Dedication service. Sis. Emily Burris sang the first one.

Bro. Cliff Burris sang the second one.

Sis. Carla Martinez sang the third one.

The Lord visited us in the preaching and in the dedication part of the service. I thought Odie might have taken some pictures while we were all praying and shouting but I think she was surrounded by folks and probably could not even see for herself.

After service we had a tremendous meal and wonderful fellowship. We were busy visiting and eating and neglected to take pictures of the food. Lots of folks stayed and visited for several hours and it seemed everyone enjoyed themselves a bunch.

Soon the day we have been waiting for a very long time was over. We are praying that God will send souls to Amazing Grace Holiness Tabernacle. There are families within sight of this church that need God to help them and we are believing they are going to find the help they need right here. Praise God for Pastor Jared Burris and this church.

We had tentatively planned for revival to go through Tuesday night here in Atwater but we decided to close Sunday night. These folks have worked so hard to prepare for this last week AND I need the extra days to recover. Whatever this is that settled in my lungs Saturday has whipped up on me good. We had already planned to rest Wednesday through Friday but we are adding Monday and Tuesday to that. After that we will run full speed ahead until we leave California the week of Thanksgiving.

I hope you had a great Sunday.

Davy
