A Word For Wednesday-All Things New

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Several years ago we were invited to sing at a church in an area and city that were completely unknown to us. We were delighted to accept the invitation and put the church on the schedule at our first possibility.

We knew nothing about the church's history, doctrine or members. All we knew was that the people we met were kind and desired us to sing for them.

The fact of the matter is this, no church ever gets just singing from us. I am a preacher and the Word of God is going to come out if you want us to sing for 45 minutes or an hour. I preached between songs that night and we had a wonderful time.

As we were shaking hands after the service and taking down our sound system, I had two very interesting and completely sincere questions.

#1 You mentioned revival. What is revival?

#2 You said that people such as alcoholics, drug addicts and others could be instantly changed by Christ. Is that true?

Can God really make a drastic change in a life? Can God make everything new? This is what the Bible says.

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Oh, yes He can! Hallelujah! God will radically and drastically change us when we come unto God by Him! I was happy that night to tell those precious people that God has and will make an instant and substantial difference in lives.

Thank you for joining us today.

My Pastor friend walked into Mabel's hospital room and told her about Jesus when Mabel was about to die. She could not even respond, but heard and understood the Gospel. She was saved at the last moment and is testimony of God's Perfect Timing.

A Word For Wednesday-Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

We are instructed to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We are also told that we are blessed by God when we bless God's people and we are cursed of God when we curse God's people. Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Thank you for watching today.

A Word For Wednesday, The Exception To The Rule

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Luke 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

The rule is that we all will perish because of sin. The only exception is IF we repent!

According to Christ, the rule is not that some are good and some are bad. The rule is we are all sinners and we will all perish. IF we repent, we will be saved! Repentance changes the rule!

Thank you for joining us today for A Word For Wednesday.

A Word For Wednesday, The Joy of Salvation

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Thank you for joining us today. I am preaching this week under The Blue and White Gospel Tent. While preaching the other night, I was overwhelmed by the Joy of Salvation.

I was overwhelmed by the Joy I was receiving as I was preaching about Salvation.

I was overwhelmed by the Joy the recipient of salvation was about to receive.

The congregation was overwhelmed by Joy watching others receive salvation.

AND

I was overwhelmed that God experiences such Joy when we accept His gift of salvation.

Praise God for the Joy of Salvation!

A Word For Wednesday-Living Under A Full Sail

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

It was said of Caleb in Joshua 14 ...that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

According to Strong Concordance that phrase paints a picture in Hebrew that says he lived His life under a full sail!

A sailor with the right knowledge and equipment can use the wind to sail in almost any direction he desires. Caleb did not use God's power to go his own direction. He put his sails all the way up and went wherever God blew him. He lived his life under a full sail!

He wholly followed the Lord! Wholly, completely and without reservation Caleb followed the Lord!

Thank you for reading and watching today.

A Word For Wednesday, I Believe God!

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Acts 27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.
22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
V. 25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

I believe God! I refuse to put my trust in everything I see around me. I refuse to trust in all the emotions inside of me. I trust in only what I believe and I believe God!

We can trust God, friends. I encourage you to believe the Word of God! Thank you for watching today.

A Word For Wednesday, Eight Commonalities In Every Man That God Uses

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

In mid-July I posted A Word For Wednesday with excerpts from a book by Oswald J. Smith called The Man God Uses. He prayed on his 38th birthday and asked the Lord to make him and man after God's heart. That prayer changed his life and I believe it will change our lives too.

The second chapter is the title chapter. In that chapter, he discusses eight essential things that every man that God uses all have in common. It is good stuff.
1. The man that God uses is the man that has but one great purpose in life.
2. The man that God uses is the man that has removed every hindrance from his life.
3. The man that God uses is the man who has placed himself fully at God's disposal.
4. The man that God uses is the man who has learned to prevail in prayer.
5. The man that God uses is the man who is a student of God's Word.
6. The man that God uses is the man who is the man that has a vital living message for the lost world.
7. The man that God uses is the man of faith that expects results.
8. The man that God uses is the man that works in the anointing of the Holy Ghost

A Word For Wednesday- Why It Is Important What We Believe About Christ

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Wordless For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Wordless for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

My dear friends, it is important for us to know Christ and to believe that He is the son of the Living God, God in the flesh, God with us. To believe that He is created is to believe heresy. A mere man, no matter how good, could not redeem humanity. He purchased us with his sinless sacrifice on Calvary

According to scripture, the son of God who made the world laid aside the glory of Heaven, took upon himself human flesh, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, bore the sins of the whole world on the cross and rose victorious over death, hell and the grave.

We are warned in scripture that satan would try to pollute the Gospel and destroy the message. He has had much success in his pursuit. Many religions declare that Jesus was only a man created by God. Some Christian groups today declare the same thing.

But Christianity has always believed with Peter that Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God, God in the flesh, God with us! That is why it is important what we believe about Christ!

Thank you for tuning in.

A Word For Wednesday, What Do You Think About Christ? Who is He? Part I

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Wordless For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Wordless for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

What do you think about Christ? Who is he?

Matthew 22:41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he?...

Who Christ is and where He comes from is critical to our salvation. The Pharisees were completely aware that Christ was descended from David, but they could not understand that He was also David's Lord. How can this be?

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Peter got it and he received his understanding from the Father. Yes, Christ is descended from David, but He is also the son of the living God. He is God in the flesh, God with us.

If Christ is created, If Christ is not God, we are not saved

A Word For Wednesday Using Faith As A Defensive Weapon

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Paul is clearly telling the Christians in Ephesus and us that we should be prepared to use faith as a defensive weapon.

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We are able to quench the fiery darts of the enemy by believing the promises of God. Faith is a tremendous offensive weapon, believing God to take new ground. However, it is also incredibly effective when we are backed against the proverbial wall. The shield of faith. I believe God!

Thank you for reading and watching today.

A Word For Wednesday-Giving God Access To Our Lives

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

We are saved by grace and grace alone. Salvation is not of ourselves. We know that or at least we ought to know that. Our part is to believe and Christ will do the rest. Christ will reconcile us to God.

Yet, might there be something we can do that will give God better access to our lives after salvation? I believe the answer is yes. I believe that God has had a clear path to my life, at times, because I opened myself to Him and welcomed God to help Himself to whatever part of me He wanted.

Here I am, Lord, send me! Here I am, Lord, do with me what you will!

Kelly Jo and I made some right decisions early on and a few timely decisions at perilous points along the way. That allowed God access to us when we might have closed Him out otherwise.

I want God to have complete access to me. I want Him to have my will, my mind and my heart.

Thank you for joining us to day on Mile Markers and on YouTube.

A Word For Wednesday-The Real Focus Of Our Fight

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

All of us have so many things on our plate. If the kids are OK, the car is breaking down. If the car is OK, the blood pressure is high. If our body is fine, the boss is acting crazy, if the boss is groovy, the roof is leaking. We all have so many things in life that consume us.

But most of the things that consume us are temporal. Paul points us to the real focus of our fight in Ephesians 6. Our fight is not physical, it is spiritual. Let us focus our energy on fighting where the real battle is.

I hope that makes sense. It makes sense when I say it to myself. Thank you for reading and watching today.

Boggs Family Ministries Video-NOT A Word For Wednesday

We have been traveling Monday and Tuesday and I have not been able to record A Word For Wednesday. We are stopped for the night Tuesday, but we do not have enough signal to get it loaded now and I am not moving another mile searching for phone signal or internet.

I had already loaded another video, but had not scheduled it. I am making that video available for you today instead. It is NOT A Word for Wednesday or anything close, but hopefully, you will have mercy on me.

This is a four minute video introducing Boggs Family Ministries. Most of you coming here today do not need an introduction to our ministry, but I am interested in what you think about it, good, bad and ugly.

We were asked by a church for a short video introducing our ministry including information about revivals, tent revivals and mission work in Nigeria, West Africa. We produced that for them and the Pastor was pleased with it.

I expanded it with a few more pictures in this video. It also serves as a thank you to everyone that has helped us work in the ministry of evangelism in the US and internationally. May God bless you all!

Let us know what you think.

A Word For Wednesday, Our God Is Able To Do Exceeding Abundantly!

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I was inspired by a great move of the Holy Ghost Tuesday night to remind you of Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

There is NO THING in your life too hard for God!

Thank you for reading today.
