Travel Day and Pine Prairie, Louisiana

After church Friday night we said goodbye to our friends in Tennessee and loaded up the Green Machine and scooted back to the campground. We loaded up, cranked up and were on the road again by 11:30.

It was a great night to drive and we made 280 miles to the Flying J in Bessemer, Alabama a few minutes before 4:00. It would have been nice to drive some more with so little traffic on the road but it was time for sleep.

We left Bessemer about 10:00 central Saturday morning and finished the drive to Pine Prairie, Louisiana. We washed the bugs off the front of the BoggsMobile, set up the sound system, visited with the Gautreaux's over some food and went to bed.

Yesterday was a great day. We honored Bro. and Sis. Gautreaux with a Pastor Appreciation service Sunday morning followed by a great Cajun meal! Can't get much better than that!

Sunday evening we kicked off revival with a great service and super altar service. We are expecting great things tonight and the rest of the week.

I hope you had a blessed weekend. Thanks for praying for us.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle

Bro. Chris Juneau and Pastor Barry Gautreaux

These are the pictures I promised a few days ago. I was waiting for a sunny day to get the best pictures and Friday was beautiful.

Pastor Barry Gautreaux and his folks did an extensive amount of work inside and outside their church the last few months. They worked hard and it shows. It looks great!
Bro. Gautreaux pioneered the church in Pine Prairie over 14 years ago. He and his family have been faithful to the labor of harvesting souls. God has honored their commitment and blessed them with a fine group of folks that love God.

Friday night was Youth Rally. We had a big crowd and a great service. It was a blessing to see the young folks worshipping God.

Sis. Shea Boyd and her girls sung as the Holy Ghost ministered to the church.

The four Pastors in attendance: Pastors Tracy Boyd, Barry Gautreaux, Stacy Holden and Samuel Snow.

May God continue to bless Bro. Gautreaux and Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle.

Zoar Holiness Church

We started revival Tuesday night at Zoar Holiness Church and we plan to be here through Friday night. We love these folks so much and have been looking forward to coming back.

Bro. Jon Isaacs is the Pastor. He and his wife Heidi have a new little baby girl. She is so beautiful. Maybe Odie can post a picture this week.

Kelly Jo, Alayna & Alivya

The church is in the country and we love it out here. It is so quiet and peaceful with a beautiful old cemetery right beside us. We always enjoy parking here. Our last revival here Kelly Jo and I walked all over this place.

It may be a little chilly for much walking right now but it sure feels a whole lot better than we have had at home the last two weeks. It was in the 20s last night but it is supposes to be much warmer as the week goes on. Feels like a heat wave already.

We will be on our way to Oklahoma and Kansas in about two weeks so we plan to enjoy all the warmth we can. Y'all stay warm too.

Bro. Ben and Sis. Opal Lee Shaw

Bro. Ben Shaw is one of a kind.  He is posing for the pictures above and below in one of my hats.  The picture below also includes his gracious wife.

Bro. Shaw pastored the Fairland Church near Fouke, AR for many many years.  He is well respected and beloved by folks all over the country.  He and his wife have been so kind to us through the years and we deeply appreciate their friendship.  We were blessed to have them attend two nights of our revival in Keller, Texas and then to preach for them Tuesday the 23rd.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed their fellowship very much.  I learn so much from Bro. Shaw by just listening during our conversations.  His years of experience and dedication to God have provided him a huge amount of spiritual insight.  He is one of those men that oozes integrity.  I am thankful to be blessed to know many man like that.

Bro. Shaw would say that I am holding him up too high and that is exactly what I would expect him to say.  Like all of our really great men around the Holiness churches he considers himself very low. He is full of humility yet God has used him mightily throughout his life.

Bro. Shaw is currently serving as Interim Pastor at Victory Tabernacle Holiness Church in Watauga, Texas.  They desire for God to use them there in guiding that fine bunch of folks.  I have a feeling that God's hand is already at work.  That's the kind of God we serve.

May God bless Bro. and Sis. Shaw

Gainesville, TX House of Prayer

We are in Gainesville, Texas this week in revival at the House of Prayer.  The pastor is Bro. R.G. Logan.  The Logan's have been our friends for several years and its always fun to be here with them and their folks. We have always had good services with folks praying in the altars and receiving help from the Lord. Please pray that God visits us this week in a special way.  Bro. Logan has had several health issues the last few years and needs a touch from Heaven.  We desire a Holy Ghost revival and healing for Bro. Logan would be a welcomed bonus.  Will you help us pray?

We have enjoyed parking here over Thanksgiving break.  It is a very nice place to park and also very private behind the church. We are so thankful the church has made it available to us. I think the BoggsMobile might have enjoyed it as much as we did... The bus has nearly 1000 more miles to carry us to our next revival so it needs all the rest it can get!

The girls drove down to the DFW area to shop some on Friday and had a good time without spending much money. I stayed home and enjoyed a day to myself catching up on reading, studying and computer work.  It was one of the best shopping days I have had in a while!

Sunday 11/21

Pastor Kenneth Rowe and his wife Sis. Andra
Below is the Jones family from the Keller church.

Tonight was the last night of revival at Keller Holiness church in Keller, Texas. We have had a great time here again this year. The services were good and we were blessed with visitors too.

We will be preaching Tuesday night at Victory Tabernacle in Watauga. Bro. Ben Shaw is the interim Pastor there. We love being around Bro. and Sis. Shaw. They are great folks. We were at Victory in February for a benefit singing and we are looking forward to going back.

God bless you all.

Revival in Keller, Texas

We start revival today at Keller Holiness Church in Keller, Texas. The Pastor is Kenneth Rowe. Bro. Rowe took a chance on us when we started out evangelizing in 1990. Our first revival here was in October just a few days after Odie's 5th birthday. Praise God for Bro. Rowe and his precious wife and his compassionate church. They gave us our first revival in the state of Texas and are still having us after all these years.  Wow! They really are gracious people!

Bro. and Sis. Rowe have been very good friends to us down through the years.  He has made it a point to call  to check on us and encourage us every so often and it has proven to be a blessing many times.  Because he loves us, his people love us too and treat us so wonderful.  Their friendship has been a blessing to us as well.

We look forward to coming here every chance we get and always have good services.  We will keep you posted on all of the happenings because there is never a dull moment around here!

Bloomington Pentecostal Church of God

Sunday October 31st we spent the day with the folks at Bloomington Pentecostal Church of God in Bloomington, California. It was a pleasure to meet these fine brothers and sisters and worship with them. We sang Sunday morning and then sang and preached on Sunday night. All the people were so kind and hospitable.

We really enjoyed the fellowship with Pastor John and Sis. Katrina Deatharage on Sunday night. They definitely have a heart for the lost and are giving their lives in the pursuit of reaching souls for Christ. They also happened to be celebrating 18 years of marriage on Sunday. I told them I liked them without even getting to know them. Anybody that has the guts to get married on Halloween and endure all the jokes that would go along with it must have a great sense of humor!

We sure look forward to going back in the future!
