Weekend Write Up 8/16/21

I hope you had a great weekend. We certainly did and we are praising God for His help. This was our last weekend at home for a while (We Hope, We Hope, We Hope) and we tried to make the very best of it. There are lots of things to do before we roll.

Here are a few pictures from this weekend and some running commentary as we go.

As I was getting out tip money, I found this dollar in my wallet. It says Camron's first dollar Valentine's Day 2001. I do not know where Camron is now, but he or she is at least 20 years old and their first dollar is long gone. I would guess that Mom and Dad needed to spend it.🤣

I do not know how it made its way into my wallet, but I passed it on to the waitress.

Sunday Morning

In April, friends from Arizona, Herb and Samantha were in Ohio visiting family and looking for a place to live during Herb's pending retirement. Samantha visited us at Dryden on Sunday morning while they were in Dayton.

Samantha called us recently to tell us that Herb died suddenly and unexpectedly. We were shocked. She brought him back here to bury him and the funeral will probably be later this week. She visited us at church Sunday night and it was so good to see her. God bless her. Please pray for Samantha.

I wrote about an event that happened to Herb and Samantha the week we met them in November 2013. It involves cheesecake, fire and the providence of God and it is worth reading HERE.

Sunday Night

That wraps up our weekend. Now begins a busy week. Thank you for stopping by today.
