What's Up, Weekend? 6/8/2020

We had a tremendous weekend and we enjoyed every moment of it.

I spent most of the day Friday in my barn study trying to be ready to preach in our online service Friday night and Sunday night at Anchor of Hope in Lebanon. I do not have AC in the study and the heat finally ran me out about mid-afternoon. I guess the heat is a good thing. I was surely weary with winter weather popping up all spring.

We had Friday Night Revival online Friday evening and we enjoyed it very much.

Saturday morning I applied what I hope is a permanent fix to my lawnmower problem. The fuse that supplies charge to the battery keeps "slipping" out of the fuse holder. I discovered last time that each wire has a fuse holder on the end of the wire and they are deformed.

I could have replaced those ends but it was easier for me to source an inline fuse holder. These are the ends of the wires before I cut them.

This is the inline fuse holder I purchased. I had already crimped on connectors and added heat shrink sleeves to the wires.

Connections made

Then I slid the sleeves in place, added a bit of heat with a heat gun and presto!

I put in the fuse, wire tied the fuse holder nice and neat, reinstalled the battery and cranked the mower. 90 minutes later I was finished mowing and the battery was still charged! Yay!

Saturday evening KJo and I loaded up some sound equipment in Dad's truck and took it to Anchor of Hope to set up for Sunday evening. We did sound check and I completely forgot pictures.

Odie was enjoying a visit from cousin Lisa.

We were back at Anchor for service Sunday night and we had a great time with our friends. Some of the churches in the area have not resumed their Sunday night services so we had several visitors from KJo's family, my family and some friends. It was wonderful to have them all.

After church Steve and Karen went through the drive-thru and stopped by Odie's to eat and fellowship. We had a super great time.

That wraps up our weekend. Thank you for joining us on Mile Markers today.
