Remembering Dad With Ron’s Hamburger And Chili

 Hey Friends,

On November 7, 2009, my Dad made the first post here on the blog. It was titled a "Tasty Test", read it here.

There, he wrote about his favorite burger from Ron's Hamburger and Chili in Oklahoma. He loved their Double Big Daddy Cheeseburger! Daddy could rattle off his exact Ron's order and make us all crave burgers. 

In the fall of 2013, we went on a diet. We purposed to not eat pizza or burgers for one year. That was our favorite food, and also the easiest food to find while traveling. 

September 1st, 2013, was the last burger or pizza Dad ate. He kept setting goals farther in the future before he would do it again.

His massive love for a Double Big Daddy never waned. He dreamed and craved it until the end. Dad could tell almost down to the moment that he ate at Ron's on September 1st, 2013. 

Yesterday was 11 months since Dad went to Heaven. He can now eat whatever he wants!

 In honor of Dad, we went to one of his favorite Ron's locations in Sand Springs.  Mom and I split a Double Big Daddy! It was just as good as Dad remembered!

Our precious family friends, Terry and Sis. Joy Cummins joined us for our special lunch. It was great to honor Dad with wonderful people. We reminisced and made new memories.
