The Week And Weekend Report 5/3/21

I know that our visitor count on Mile Markers is normally lower on the weekend than it is during the week. It would be a shame if the majority of you missed Odie's post on Saturday. She writes a good post every Saturday, but this one is really good. Follow this link to check it out. We will be here waiting on you.

The Week And Weekend Report
We have enjoyed several wonderful spring days in a row and we are loving every minute of this nice weather. There is supposed to be rain this week, but we will take it as it comes. I want to be on record as being very thankful for this beautiful weather!

I told you about Dad and I finding the grave we were looking for in Kentucky. KJo and Mom did not walk up the hill to find the cemetery, but they did take a nice walk on a trail later that day. They snapped a few pictures that I can share with you.

While we were in the area, we visited a family cemetery where my Great Granddaddy Mays is buried. He died when I was very young, too young for me to have any memories, but I treasure all of the stories I have been told. He was my Dad's Granddaddy on his mother's side.

I will also add in a few more pictures from the week.

Friday morning I drove down to Mt. Healthy, Ohio (Cincinnati area) to hear Bro. Jimmy Millikin preach the final day service at the camp meeting there. I slipped in late and sat in the back and did not stay for lunch. I did enjoy the Millikin's singing and preaching.

Friday evening I piddled with a barn project in preparation for a larger project on Saturday while KJo was mowing. There were three guys there working Saturday. I will fill you in on those events later.

Sunday we enjoyed the morning service at Dryden Rd. Pastor Gary Lee preached outstanding.

Kelly Jo and Odie prepared a wonderful meal for Sunday and we ate at Odie's.

We have big plans for this week IF the weather cooperates. We have some big rain coming in so we went ahead and put the bus back into the barn.

Thank you for stopping in today. Have a great week.

Davy
