Catching Up With A Friend And A Christmas Carol

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from a rolling BoggsMobile. Today we are Arizona bound. We finished revival last night in Bloomington and said goodbye to all of our southern California friends.

Our next revival is scheduled to begin tomorrow and go through Wednesday night at Desert Cove Assembly. We are looking forward to spending a few days with our road family in El Mirage.

California
Sadly, 2019’s  California swing has now ended. We are blessed with so many awesome friends that call California home. Time spent with them is severely limited so I have learned to enjoy moments with my special friends to the fullest. I do not like having to bid farewell to our lovely friends and the beautiful scenery of California. We have more things to do and places to go and that requires moving on, but I am already looking ahead to our next California trip with anticipation.

Catching Up With A Friend

I have had the pleasure of having Ambria Snell as my friend for several years. Ambria has been blessed with a wonderful husband, Russ, and two precious children, Teddy and Lucy. I always look forward to seeing this family when we were are in their area. This was my first time to actually meet sweet Lucy.

Last week it worked out that Ambria and I got to spend an afternoon together. We had a fabulous time enjoying Starbucks, chatting and watching her kids play! It was so good to catch up with my friend!

Also, we were able to enjoy a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. Ambria took me to Grover Beach and we were able to drive right out on the beach. It was an excellent place to sit and chill.

Below are a few pictures from our time together.

Christmas Carol
I absolutely love Christmas music. It is no secret that I listen to Christmas songs long before I am “supposed” to according to some definitions. I like to include Christmas songs in my Saturday post during Christmas time.

One of my favorite Christmas Carols is the song “O Come All Ye Faithful”  This song puts me in worship mode. It is a humbling privilege to worship Christ our Savior. He came to this world as a baby to change our world. I want to always be faithful to praise my Savior, but I want to purposely worship Him during this busy season.

You can find many great versions of this song online. I have chosen to feature the Isaacs in my post today. The Isaacs put this song on their Christmas project released in 2000. This album was a compilation of old and new songs. It is titled Christmas Spirit. Click here to find their version of “O Come All Ye Faithful” on YouTube. Click here to find the song on Apple Music.

Below are the lyrics of this classic Christmas carol. The Isaacs sing a shortened version. I read it can have up to eight verses. I will list three of the verses that I enjoy.

O Come All Ye Faithful
 Verse 1

O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant

O come ye O come ye to Bethlehem

Come and behold him
Born the King of Angels
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Verse 2

Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exultation

Oh sing all ye citizens of Heaven above

Glory to God all glory in the highest
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Verse 3

Yea Lord we greet thee
Born this happy morning

Oh Jesus to thee be all glory given

Word of the Father now in flesh appearing
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Thanks for stopping by and reading. Have a good weekend.
