Our View Out The Front Window 6/30/19

I think Odie mentioned that cell phone signal may be slim to none at Elco this next week. I checked with one of the preachers there and confirmed that AT&T has not yet discovered that part of Illinois. The Elco camp would be a perfect place for a tower since it sets on a hill, but no tower yet.

We should be on the road somewhere between here and there Monday so you should see a weekend post. I will also try to have something ready to go up on Tuesday. After that, you may be on your own until next week. Do not panic, we will still be alive in the middle of nowhere, Illinois.

Celebrating Special Days For Extra Special People

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from Oklahoma. We have had a full week in Amber, Oklahoma. The gospel tent was set up on Monday and revival began Tuesday night. It has been great to be with Pastor Russell Cheek and the wonderful folks at Amber Mission Holiness Church.

Tomorrow evening we will be headed toward Elco, Illinois. Family Camp in Elco starts on Monday night. Dad is scheduled to preach the day services beginning Tuesday morning. We look forward to seeing many of our friends next week at the camp meeting! Next Saturday I hope to have a camp meeting report, but our phone signal maybe nonexistent at Elco. 😃

Celebrating Special Days For Extra  Special People

I want to pause this week and remember a few special days for extra special people in my life. It is time for a celebration Mile Marker style.

Wedding Bells

Yesterday was the wedding day for my sweet friend Regan Brooke. We met Regan Morris several years ago when she was a just girl. Regan quickly slipped into our hearts and became like part of the family. I can not imagine life without the joy of my awesome sister/friend! Regan is a ray of sunshine and laughter and she brings life to the party! We have watched her conquer life, achieve her dreams and now she is a grown lady! Time has flown by in the blink of an eye.

Last night she was a beautiful bride and married Brandon Walters. My schedule did not allow me to be in Mississippi for the big celebration. I am so disappointed to have missed being there in Hattiesburg to see my friend as a bride and married!

This picture is from another wedding in March 2017.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Walters! Brandon, welcome to the family! I am praying for the two of you as you embark on your new life as husband and wife. May God bless and keep you is my prayer. I love you and look forward to seeing you in the fall!

Wedding Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to my parents! I love you both so much! Thank you for being my real life role models. You have taught me that marriage is something worth working for. Thank you for your commitment to love and our family. I love you both with all my heart!

Happy Birthday

Wednesday is a birthday for my Mom, Kelly Jo. Happy Birthday, Mama! I know it will be just regular busy and exhausting day of life for you. You definitely deserve an extra shout out here today!

I love you so much! You are an incredible lady! I am blessed to have you as my hero! I want to be just like you “when I grow up”! Thank you for being absolutely awesome!! You are beautiful inside and out! Thank you for loving and caring for me.

The celebrations are complete for today. Thank you for stopping by to visit. I appreciate our readers coming along for the ride. I hope to see you here again next Saturday.

Tent Revival In Pictures-Amber, Oklahoma

Having the tent up two weeks in a row with over 700 miles between locations is a rookie mistake, but I scheduled it with my eyes wide open. I felt like it was the right thing to do and Wednesday night during service when the Lord began to reach into this town for specific individuals, I knew I was in the right place at the right time. Hallelujah! Thank God for His leading.

I will do the same thing, two tent revivals, two weeks in a row with 700 miles in between later this year and I hope and pray it has the same results!

That is to say, tent revival in Amber, Oklahoma has been excellent to this point and I expect it to get better and better. We are having service as scheduled tonight and Saturday night at 7:30 PM and then the final service Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. I can hardly wait to watch God work.

Odie has been snapping a few pictures along the way and today is time for Revival In Pictures. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today.
