Vintage View Vednesday Nigeria 2009

All is going well in Nigeria. I have been writing Mile Markers, but connectivity has been problematic, especially posting pictures. I already had this post ready to go for our normal Wednesday feature so I am adding a little information to the top.

We are super excited to be back in Nigeria. It is great to be reunited with many of our friends. We will see many, many more friends over the next two weeks. We are super blessed to be here. What a wonderful privilege God has given us to be with these people.

Thank you for holding us up in prayer.

Vintage View Vednesday

I scheduled a few Vintage View Vednesday posts with pictures of prior Nigeria trips in case we can not update regularly while we are gone. These pictures are from late November and early December 2009.

Our 2009 visit was our longest stay in Nigeria. We did a Minister's Conference and Gospel Crusade in Abeokuta and then we did it all over again in Ibadan. We also preached at other churches including our first visit to Bro. Kuye's church in Ibadan, Oyo State.

As I mentioned last week our photography standards have always been pretty loose around here, but I am glad to see they have improved some. I hope you enjoy this Vintage View Vednesday. Please pray for us.

A trip to the market

This is the roadside vendor where Bro. Shobanke purchased water for us.

The young lady running the place tried to charge them extra after she spotted us in the van. Bro. Emmanuel refused. He insisted he pay the price he had paid a few days before. She looked at me with a sheepish grin as if to say, "Hey, you can not blame me for trying."

Nope, young lady, I do not blame you one bit.
