Goodwill Date or Beverly Hillbillies

Hello Friends,

This is Odie checking in from the road. Today we are changing locations but not states. Texas is so big that it feels like we are moving 3 or 4 states away. The BoggsMobile will be moving to Gainesville, Texas and we will begin revival there tomorrow.

We are anticipating a wonderful time this week in Gainesville Sunday through Wednesday at House of Prayer Assembly. We look forward to being with Pastor Dennis King and congregation. Please come join us in revival if you are in the area.

Also we are supposed to be at Victory Tabernacle Holiness in Watauga, Texas with Pastor JJ Stevens Friday night for youth rally and both services next Sunday. I am sure we will have a fantastic weekend there.

This week we had a great time in Sweeny, Texas. It was good to be with Pastor Larry Lamb and our friends at Lighthouse Full Gospel. We appreciate their warm hospitality!

Next Sunday is Valentine's Day or better known to us singles as National Single Awareness Day. Do you need some inspiration for your special date? Well, I am definitely not the one to ask for date advice but I thought I would share one I heard about that cracked me up.

Have you ever heard of a "Goodwill Date"? I was not aware of this phenomenon until a couple weeks ago.

According to the article above a Florida couple is credited for starting this growing trend. They assigned a $10 amount then went to the Goodwill and bought random clothing for their mate to wear on a date. They challenged friends to join them on their fun. They made the rule that they could not tell others around that their attire was a joke. They went along enjoying their outing as if nothing was out of the ordinary. They posted pictures of their fun online and never dreamed it would become so popular. It even made ABC News.

If you need some inspiration check this out. It is the latest Crafton Family picture.

It was taken during recent Goodwill Date to Cheddars in Joplin, Missouri. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see the other patrons reaction to this clan.

Well, I hope you have a super weekend. Thank you for reading today.
