A White Plains Weekend

We had no reason to hurry Saturday because we only had about 2 1/2 hours to drive. Since we were up late visiting with our Ellisville friends Friday night, I let the girls rest some Saturday morning. We were hooked up and pulled out about 12:30. We were in Meridian, Mississippi just over an hour later and we detoured a few miles for a stop at Dirt Cheap.

We usually make this stop every year on our way to White Plains. This is a huge Dirt Cheap and the girls spent about an hour inside. They found just a few items to bring back to the bus and we were soon on our way.

We pulled into White Plains a few minutes after 4:00 and we were parked and hooked up in about 45 minutes. It was a sunny, warm day for a change and it was a super great day to travel. That is just the way I like it.

It sure was great to see our friends at White Plains Holiness Assembly. We made our first visit here in 2003 or 2004 and we have enjoyed several trips here in the years since. It is always a joy to sing and preach here and watch God work in lives.

We had prayer meeting on Saturday night and then two services Sunday. God certainly worked here yesterday. He seemed so close to us during the preaching. God's Word is powerful. God's Word is alive. It is amazing to feel God's Word work in our lives and amazing to watch God's Word work in the lives of others. Thank God that He still speaks to us in 2015!

We are planning to be here through Wednesday night. Pray that God will continue to help us this week. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.
