Weekend in Ohio

Please scroll down for updates from Nigeria or see a list of Recent Posts to the left.

Well, we are slowly getting adjusted to the eastern time zone and rested from our trip. We actually felt pretty good until Wednesday evening. From then until about Saturday it felt like my head was full of sand. We were sleeping all night and even napping during the day and I guess we finally caught up. Saturday we were as good as new!

I hope you are enjoying the updates from Nigeria. We have several more to post before the story is even partially told. Leave a comment and let us know what you think.

Saturday evening we took my brother Steve and his wife Karen and their daughter Deidre out for our annual Christmas dinner. Steve and his family take care of collecting and forwarding our mail to us They have done it faithfully for 10 years now. This annual meal is our way of saying "thank you" for all that they do.

Their boys were busy and Odie was hunting so my parents went with us. We had a great time as always and the food was super. We went to J.R. Alexanders as we usually do and we enjoyed it as much as ever. They are know for their prime rib and it was fantastic.

Mom said she was eating light tonight...

Sunday morning we sang and preached at Dodds. We are parked in their parking lot for Christmas so all we had to do was walk around the parking lot. It was great to be with them. God blessed us with a good altar service. The Dodds church and Pastor Rex Lloyd are so kind to us and we appreciate it very much.

After church we went to eat with a bunch of my family at Acapulco. Now that is good eating. The fellowship was pretty good too. We do not get to spend much time with our families so it is always great to slow down enough to visit with them.

Sunday night we sang and preached for Pastor Kevin Lloyd at Murlin Heights in North Dayton. We love those folks and always have a good time with them. We had another really good altar service there too. It is always a blessing to see folks seeking God and watching God touch their lives.

It has been a great weekend.

Davy
