View Out The Front Window May 21, 2017

Here are links to our posts from the last week.

Our view has remained the same this week in Hodgenville, Kentucky so I will post one of the best views I have had all week.

That is a beautiful view! Hopefully there will be a framed house on that beautiful place by this time next week. We are still scheduled to begin Tuesday. Please pray that the rain and wind cooperate.

I hope you have a super great Sunday!

HPC Graduation Banquet 2017

Hey friends, this is Odie reporting in on our last scheduled Saturday in Hodgenville, Kentucky. Wow, I cannot believe it has been a month since we came to HPC. The time we have spent with the congregation of HPC and Pastor David Webb and family has been extraordinary! They have treated us just like part of their family!  It will be hard leaving our friends here.

Thank you to everyone at HPC for welcoming us with open arms! This will be one of the highlights of our year. We have made many great memories in this short month and we will treasure new friendships that will last a lifetime.

One of the families that we have come to love in our time here is the Hawkins Family.

It has been amazing to watch God work in this family this month. Bro. Austin has some serious health problems yet they are singing as a family and praising God through it all. They are facing some scary uncertainties right now but they are trusting God to walk with them!

I am expecting to hear great news in the near future! Until we receive that news, please pray for Bro. Austin, Sis. Janice and their precious daughters. I know from experience you can NEVER have too many people praying for you.

Thursday night was a special night at HPC. It was graduation banquet 2017. Mom and I were able to take part in the celebration. The theme for this year's graduation banquet was "A Sweet Ending To A New Beginning".

Several people in the church worked very hard to decorate the fellowship hall beautifully and prepare lots of sweets for a dessert buffet! The fellowship hall looked wonderful and every dessert I tried was amazing!

There were four seniors taking part in the banquet. Each of the seniors had a table decorated for them.

Mom provided beautiful background music for the evening.

Just a sample of the sweet temptations served.

After dessert it was time for a word from the seniors.

Then a word from Pastor Webb. All the speeches had us laughing and crying. It was a special evening.

Thank you for reading. I hope you have a fantastic weekend. I am excited about this coming week. If everything goes according to plan, the house being built for me to live in should be framed in a few days. Please helps us pray the rain holds off as needed.

This Week In Pictures - Week #4 HPC

It is incredible that another week has flown by AND that this is the fourth and final week for this visit to HPC. This whole experience has been a blessing to our family. We have learned, we have taught, we have ministered and we have been ministered to.

We are extremely thankful for Pastor David Webb's invitation to be here these four weeks and his vision for us to pour into his people. We have done our best to rise up to his challenge and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

We came to do our utmost to edify Pastor Webb and the brothers and sisters of Hodgenville Pentecostal Church, yet this last week is winding down with us feeling like we have been on the receiving end of the edification. They have poured into us and we are departing this time with an immense appreciation of this Pastor and this church.

This is a picture post so let us get to a a boat load of pictures from this past week. I will have a few more words to say near the end.

I spent Thursday in Ohio and this is a little token of my visit there.

Odie's name is forever inscribed on the garage floor of the house we are building for her to live in. I will have many more pictures from the house next week.

Pastor Mike Metzger sent me these two pictures early Wednesday morning. They had received about 5 inches of heavy wet snow that morning and more was falling. This was May 17, 2017 near Florence, Montana.

He sent me these two a little later in the morning. The first one is their drive and house.

This is the road out to the main road.

That is beautiful, amazing and makes me glad Not to be in Montana this week! We are looking forward to being there later this year by God's grace and will.

Thank you for stopping in a sitting a spell with us today.
