Weekend Woundup and Weview

This is been a great weekend with Pastor Noah Martinez and all of the Desert Cove Assembly. We are excited to be with our friends for this special event. We are expecting an outpouring of God's blessings on their community andtheir  families.

The first weekend of tent revival is always busy and exciting. I think this first weekend of City Reach in the Phoenix area has lived up to that and then some!

Friday morning we were all busy pulling last minute things together and after lunch Bro Jimmie pulled the tent trailer onto the lot and into position. It could have been a difficult place to pull in but Bro. Jimmie and his big Volvo truck made it look easy!

I had already figured out the placement of the tent on the lot on Thursday. After the trailer was in place we measured for the the stake line and figured a way to mark them in the dirt.

While we worked we watched the US Air Force Thunderbirds practice for an air show. It was incredible.

The House of Deliverance in Hillsboro, Ohio donated some electronic drums for City Reach a few months ago. We had taken them apart for transport and it looked like they might never go back together again.

Fortunately, Kelly Jo had taken pictures and labeled most of the parts. Friday afternoon Kelly Jo, Odie, Sis. Carla and her boys figured out how to put them together.

We like acoustic drums but electric drums are very handy for tent revival.

They also took down all our sound equipment in the church and packed it up.

After a nice little meal...

We drove to the airport to pick up Pastor Scott Morris! He flew in for a few days to help with tent set up and to kick off City Reach. I appreciate my friend's sacrifice and I appreciate his family and church for loaning him to us.

What a treat!!!

Saturday morning we had a pile of folks show up to set up the tent! They worked hard.

A few hours later, it was ready to go.

I will try to post more pictures from the tent set up later in the week.

About 3:00 we watched the Thunderbird air show right over the tent!

Amazing!

There is no way to capture the thrill on an iPhone camera but here are a few attempts. Look for the planes.

The sunset was beautiful Saturday.

We had a great service in the church Sunday morning. It was a tremendous kick off for City Reach!

7:00 Sunday night it was time to crank up the service under the Blue and White Gospel Tent!

It was a great first night of City Reach. God blessed all the way through and we praise Him for it! We are expecting God to surprise us the next two weeks with blessings showered all around!

Pastor Alan Harris and the Central City, Kentucky church is beginning their prayer revival for City Reach this week and I know that many of you are praying as well. That gives me confidence that God will do his part!

Thanks for reading.

Tent View

The tent is up in El Mirage, Arizona and we are ready to begin two weeks of revival tonight at 7:00 PM. I will try to post pictures of the setting up process later in the week. Right now I do not even have time to do my normal abbreviated Sunday morning post.

I will leave you with a few before and after pictures.

I think it looks great!

Please continue to pray!

Extremely Excited to Be In El Mirage

Hi friends, this is Odie reporting in from El Mirage, Arizona and we are super glad to be here. This has been a busy week preparing for City Reach. The preparation continues today with tent setup.

Tent revival begins tomorrow night, it will continue through the 15th of April. We are expecting great things to happen. The services begin at 7:00PM nightly. Everyone is invited!

I have some pictures from our week on my phone I wanted to share.
Easter Sunday 2016

The Martinez boys have been helping dad and Bro. Jimmie this week. Thanks Luke, Levi and Logan for your help. Below is a picture Luke and Logan helping Dad carry our mail.

Tuesday I was super thrilled to get to see my dear friend Abbey Metzger from Montana. I am so glad she text me that afternoon. Sis. Metzger and Abbey were visiting with Abbey's Aunt Terry during a long lay over on their way to Tennessee for PFYC.

They decided to eat lunch at Sweet Tomato. Abbey text me Tuesday because she remembered reading about our visit to a Sweet Tomato in Colorado.

She had no idea that we both were in the Phoenix area. Thanks to "Aunt Terry" for sharing Abbey and Sis. Metzger with us for a little while.

Thursday evening we had a gorgeous sunset here in El Mirage. Pictures really can not tell the full story of the beauty.

Thank you for reading today. Have a great weekend. Please pray for City Reach in El Mirage, Arizona!

On The Run and Having Fun!

Thursday was a busy day of preparation and today will be more of the same, so not much posting today.

I do have a couple of pictures from church on Wednesday night at Desert Cove.

I also have a picture of the Green Machine and the BoggsMobile below. The car has been washed since this picture but the bus still needs it bad. I will get to it eventually.

Here is where the tent is going up Saturday morning by God's grace.

I had ordered a new 10 foot banner and it was shipped here last week. I went ahead and put it up by the road to attract some attention.

Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe arrived Wednesday night after nearly 1100 miles from Sapulpa, Oklahoma. We are so glad to see him and he was pretty glad to get here. He has been working like a dog to get ready to leave and he jumped right in and worked hard all day Thursday. It is wonderful to have our Director of Tent Transportation and On-Site Operations on the job! LOL

Thank you for praying for us. I am overwhelmed with apprehension at times but I sense the presence of the Lord to help us. He is faithful!
