Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference 2014

Odie mentioned The Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference in her post last Saturday. We are excited about attending this year by the grace of God. The dates are April 4th and 5th with some pre-conference sessions on the evening of the 3rd. We hope to be there for the whole event.

This year the conference is moving from its former home in Louisville, Kentucky to its brand new home in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The conference with have full use of the brand new state of the art Leconte Center. I think this will prove to be a great move for the conference. It should be awesome.

The theme of the conference this year is "The Truth About it All" and they have a great slate of preachers lined up. Our family is excited to hear the great preaching and we are looking forward to the tremendous altar services as a result of the preaching. In addition to all of the great preaching there will be lots of music and singing and the chance to fellowship with thousands of young folks from across the country.

It is still more than a month away so you have time to make plans to attend. Another great thing about Pigeon Forge is the fact that there of lots of options for lodging and much of it is very inexpensive compared to Louisville. That reminds me that I need to make reservations for a place to park the bus.

The Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference has been known as the PFYC. Mr. Anonymous here in Mississippi said that now PFYC stands for the Pigeon Forge Youth Conference. That is hilarious and works too!

Speaking of Mississippi, we are having a great revival this week in Ellisville, Mississippi. Pastor Kenny Morris and his folks are having church and we are trying desperately to keep up! Thank God for His help. Here are a few picture we posted earlier in the week. I am sure there are more to come.

Friends, Fishing And A Fantastic Service

We had another tremendous service Tuesday tonight in Ellisville, Mississippi. It was good from the word go. Praise God for his help in the worship, the preaching and in the altar service. It was awesome to see so many people receiving help. We are already anticipating great things for tonight.

We had a very special visitor Tuesday. Pastor Darrell Toliver from Sand Springs, Oklahoma came for lunch and stayed all day. It was a super treat to have him with us.  We enjoyed the fellowship and I love having him to help me preach. Bro. Toliver loves to help preachers as much as anybody I know.

Bro. and Sis. Toliver's daughter has married recently and moved to the gulf coast. They are down for a visit and Bro. Toliver drove about two hours to be with us. You can not beat friends like that.

I love it when my friends get to meet my friends. I have the best friends in the world and I think everybody is better off when they are acquainted with my them.

Bro. Kenny Morris and Bro. Scott Morris took Odie fishing Tuesday afternoon. She had a great time catching fish with Rylee. The whole thing was hilarious. I think Odie is planning to tell you all more about it on Saturday.

While we were traveling Friday I took some pictures of the Green Machine and the BoggsMobile together. I was trying to get a picture that Kelly Jo could incorporate into the new design for Odie's Newsletter. These may not make the cut but I thought I would share them.

Thanks for reading.

First Assembly, Ellisville, Mississippi - Revival In Pictures

We are well on our way to having revival in Ellisville, Mississippi. Sunday night we had some folks getting help from the Lord in the altar and Monday night we had a really good break through in the altar service. I am so thankful for the help of the Lord so far and I am excited to see what is going to happen the rest of the week.

We have had a great big hole in the services so far. Sis. Joan Morris has been out with the flu and we have been missing her something fierce. She hates to miss church as well and she is hoping to get to make it tonight (Tuesday). We all hope she gets to feeling better and is able to come because she is a huge help in the services. I am sure we will have some pictures of Momma Joan when she makes her grand entrance.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful this week. The weather guessers are predicting a rain front moving through with cooler temperatures behind it. I hope they are completely wrong but even with a little cooler weather it will be so much better than what we have been having father north.

Now it is time for some pictures from revival. We hope you enjoy our Revival In Pictures.
