New Recording - He Came

Thanks for all of the questions and interest in our new recording. Now we just need about 100,000 people to be interested enough to buy it. That would solve a whole bunch of problems! Lol

Pictures from our recording.

This is our first studio record in a few years so it was exciting to get back in the studio. It was also frightening because it reminds us how inadequate we are when it comes to these things. Thankfully folks that are really, really good at these things are willing to surround us and help us all they can.

Ben Isaacs has been so gracious to help us through the years. We can not say enough good things about Ben. He is so talented yet he generously lends those talents, mixed with genuine kindness to so many in the music industry. He is incredibly busy with the Isaacs touring schedule, his family time and playing on and producing records for many others.

He is really too busy to do all of the things he does for us and we are very thankful he takes time to do it. We could not do this without Ben. He uses his amazing ability to help us sound as good as we can and that is a miracle in itself.

We were also working with Mark Capps this week. Magic Mark (er) is a Grammy award winning engineer. He mixed our Havin Church' Live in California CD and was working hard engineering this one. He and Ben work together a lot and they are a great team.

The new CD has a Christmas theme. I would not call it a traditional Christmas CD although it does have a couple of traditional songs. We hope to communicate the great truth that Jesus came into the world to save sinners. In fact, the working title is He Came - The Gospel of Christmas.

If all goes as planned it will have eight songs and a Christmas sermon. Two of the songs are instrumental carols and I think they turned out great. Kelly Jo worked very hard on the piano. This is the first studio record she has played on for us. She felt so incapable but she did terrific.

Ben Isaacs played the bass and Greg Ritchie played the drums and other percussion. There is a possibility we might add a little more instrumentation but I do not think we will. I want to keep it as simple as we can. I think is sounds just fine as it is and once Ben and Mark work their magic it may be fit for public consumption.

We are planning on taking pre-orders as we did with Havin' Church. I will try to let you know more about that in the coming days. That was a huge help to us last time.

We arrived home very late last night or maybe I should say early this morning. We visited with my parents, my sister and one of my brothers for a while today and ate a late lunch at Acapulco in Lebanon. I guess you did not see that one coming, did you ?

We are planning to attend our home church tonight. I am really looking forward to that!

God bless you all.

Davy

Pictures While Recording

Another long day, another late night but lots of pictures. I hope you enjoy the pictures from our days in the studio. Some of the pictures have descriptions or names.

The very high dollar mic that I sang into for the recording. It made me sound exactly like me. That is NOT a good thing.

We stayed too late at night. I asked them to stand against the wall so I could snap a picture and this is what I got.

Tuesday April 23, 2013

Tuesday was a long, long day. Kelly Jo and Odie were out of the BoggsMobile before 7:00. I had scheduled some work on the bus at Prevost here in the Nashville area and they came over to where we were parked and asked me to pull in right on time. They ended up replacing the Air Dryer. The air system has been a constant fight but I think we are making progress.

We also put in our second long day in the studio Tuesday. We have lots of pictures to post from the last two days in the studio and I hope to be able to do that tomorrow. We should finish up here in Nashville sometime tomorrow evening and head North toward Ohio.

It is late and we are whipped. Good night.

Tent Revival in Dunseith, North Dakota - Turtle Mountain Chippewa

I posted pictures from the revival at Refuge Holiness Tabernacle last night.

We are excited to announce that the dates have been set and plans are being finalized for us to work together with the James Martin Family in North Dakota for a week in July. By God's grace, we will be having tent revival under the Blue and White Gospel tent in Dunseith, North Dakota July 28-31.

Dunseith is in the extreme northern part of North Dakota just a few miles from the Canadian border.

We will be working with a local church that Bro. Martin has partnered with to reach out to the people of Dunseith and Turtle Mountain Chippewa tribe. I am very thankful they have agreed to allow our family to come along side them to minister in their community. It is a great honor and privilege for us.

Bro. James Martin and his family have worked among Native American peoples all over the USA and in Canada. God has given them favor with many people, in many places and He has used them to spread the Gospel in each place. They have a sincere burden to extend the love of God to folks that are hurting. The heart of the Martin family is ministry.

It is a tremendous blessing for us to work with such Godly people. Please visit their website to find out more about their family and ministry. The Martin family and Hope for the Home Ministries are very worthy of your support.

This revival will be a complete mission effort. We will be traveling about 1000 miles to get to Dunseith and then another 1000 miles to our next revival. The expenses will be high and we expect nothing at all from the people that we will be ministering too. We are going there to bless them with the good news. The load would be overwhelming for our family if I were not certain that God is in control.

Churches and individuals have been excited with us as I have told of this opportunity to minister to the Turtle Mountain Chippewa. If you would like to help in any way, please let me know. If you send an offering, make sure you mark it for the "ND Tent Revival" and every penny of it will go for that purpose. I believe that together we can make a difference in lives in Dunseith, North Dakota.

Join us in prayer for this tent revival with The James Martin Family in Dunseith. Ask God to prepare hearts to receive Christ even now. I have watched God work years ahead to prepare somebody to receive the Gospel at the right time. I know He is working in lives in North Dakota as I type this. I believe He will have them ready to hear from heaven when we arrive. That is amazing.

We are praying about preaching another tent revival in North Dakota in July but all of the pieces are not in place as of yet. We will need to make a decision on that in the next week. Help us pray about that as well. If it is God's will to do it, we would be thrilled.

Thanks for praying.

Davy

Revival In Pictures - Refuge Holiness Tabernacle

We finished up revival this morning at Refuge Holiness Tabernacle near Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Pastor Larry West and his fine congregation treated us so well and the Lord moved among us in every service. We appreciate God for moving and we appreciate the Refuge folks for rolling out the red carpet for us. We look forward to being with them again by God's grace.

Bro. West and his family moved to the Tuscaloosa area about two years ago with a burden to pioneer a conservative Pentecostal church in the area. God has worked in some great ways to bring them to the point they are today. Praise God for what He has done. They have a good core group of people to build a church around and they are hungry for souls to be save.

I love to see churches with a great desire to see souls saved. That is the heartbeat of the Gospel and we must be preaching and reaching for souls in this hour. I love to partner with churches that are giving the Gospel message to those in their communities. God will bless that every time.

Pastor West and the Refuge Holiness Tabernacle are praying for direction on a permanent building. They would love to find a place to put down root. The West's  really need to sell their house in Chatom, Alabama as well. God is able to help them in those two important matters. Will you join us in praying that God would work for them in miraculous ways? Let us believe God together for notable miracles in each situation.

We are now in the Nashville area. I will be telling you more about that in the coming days. Thanks for praying for us. Please pray that God will help us tomorrow (Monday), especially.

I hope you enjoy the revival pictures.
