The Three Bears

Hey Friends!

We are having a wonderful week in Virginia. The tent revival services have been awesome. It is extra special this week because Mom's parents came from Ohio to visit us. It is so good to spend time with them.

Mom and I went with Gran and Papaw yesterday afternoon. We drove some of the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park.

The scenery is so beautiful! Papaw and I were on a hunt for Bear. A Mama Bear and two cubs crossed the road in front of us, at one point Mama was 6-8 feet from me. It was the highlight of our day.

We also spotted a couple deer but they hid from the camera. Today we are going on another drive so I will be on the hunt for more wildlife.

Monday and Tuesday in Pictures

The Tent Revival in Elkton has been wonderful so far. We have had great crowds and great response in the altar services. Below are a few pictures of Monday and Tuesday nights.

Thanks for your prayers. I have been gimping around on a sore foot for over a week and it was pretty bad the last few days but God is helping and I am noticing some improvement. I am very thankful for that.

Please keep praying for little Kari Noe and her family. They are in desperate need of a miracle and we know our God is able. You can keep up with Kari and the rest of the Noe family Here. God bless,

Davy

Kicking Off in Elkton

Sunday morning we sang and preached for Sandy Bottom Holiness Church and Pastor Buzzy Deane. We always enjoy being there and Sunday was no exception. They are such a great bunch of folks and they make it so easy to preach. They also turned out great for the start of tent revival and we appreciate that as well.

Bro. Eddie Deane, Bro. Buzzy's son and associate Pastor is conducting the meeting this week and they are singing each night as well. I hope to convince Bro. Eddie to preach some too. We love working with these folks. They are great singers and musicians and super people on top of that. We have invited other churches in this area to participate this week so we are looking forward to good fellowship as God moves among us.

I didn't take many pictures yesterday and last night but here are a few.

Tent Revival in Elkton, Virginia

The tent went up for the fourth time this summer and this time it went up in Elkton, Virginia. We are working with Bro. Eddie Deane and his family this week and couldn't be any more happy about it. The Deanes are great folks are very well thought of here in their home area. We are looking forward to good crowds and a great move of God.

I am learning each time we put the tent up and each time we take it down. It is not a difficult process but it is hard work and I am learning ways to make it easier the more I do it. This morning the set up went smoother than ever.

We have had great help each time and today was no exception. Bro. Eddie Deane, Bro. Chris and Bro. Danny from the Deane's church were a huge help today. We also put some of Eddie's friends to work as well. A bluegrass gospel group named The Churchmen were traveling through on their way to Pennsylvania to sing. They stopped in to spend the night with the Deanes and definitely got more than they bargained for. Lol. I appreciate Keith, Freddy and Gerald being willing to help us. You can find out more about them at www.thechurchmen.com   I told them I would send our millions of readers to check out their website.

Here are some pictures from today. I'll try to snap some pictures tomorrow at church and tomorrow night under the tent and post them Monday.

Please continue to pray that God would strengthen us to win folks to Christ.

Gearing Up for the Next Tent Revival

Reminder: SiriusXM's Enlighten channel 18 will be playing the second half of our "Havin Church" CD this weekend on Saturday and Sunday nights. You can find
more information HERE.

So much for rest this week! We had hoped to rest a day or two between revivals this week but couldn't work it into the schedule. Lol! We drove to home to Ohio on Monday and spent the next few days nailing down the location for our August tent revival in our hometown of Waynesville. We found a great place in town and the owner was very gracious to grant permission and the village was very cooperative as well. We are now trying to secure liability insurance (an understandable requirement of the owner) and once that is in place we will be ready to go. We hope to have tent revival in Waynesville August 12-19. We talked to several folks who are excited about it and we are too!

We preached at our home church on Tuesday and at Dodds on Wednesday and it was so good to see our church family and friends. The visit was way to short but it was sweet. The good thing is that we should be back there in just over three weeks.

We traveled through the mountains on Thursday and ended up at Verona, Virginia by church Thursday night. We visited the campmeeting there and heard Bro. Don Rich preach. It was so good to see so very many friends in Verona. Bro. William Strickler and his family treated us like the friends we found them to be when we made our first visit there twenty years ago. We had a wonderful night.

We pulled on over to Elkton today and parked at the fairgrounds where the tent is supposed to go up tomorrow. We plan to start here Sunday night and go through Friday night. I can't wait to see what the Lord will do here in Elkton.

Thanks for praying for us. I snapped a few pictures of Eddie and Tina Deane mowing the grass that will be under the tent. We appreciate Bro. Chris from their church bringing his mower over.

Schedule Change in Virginia

We have had a schedule change for the tent revivals in Virginia. The place that Bro. Eddie Deane had picked out for one of the meetings has another event scheduled that conflicted with ours so he had to do some rearranging. After some fancy footwork on his part we have a plan B.

We will have revival in Elkton at the fairground next week the 17th and on the east side of the mountain near Stanardsville starting July 31st. This is exactly opposite of what we had planned and announced in Odie's Newsletter.

We are expecting a great move of God in both locations. Please continue to pray for us and our Tent Revivals. We need His help and direction. We arrived in Ohio yesterday evening for the first time since December 26. We are trying to finalize the location for our tent revival in August. God bless,

Davy
