Iron Post Holiness Church

Pastor Travis Martin and Bro. Kevin Webster

We are having a great time with Pastor Travis Martin and all the folks at Iron Post Holiness Church near Locust Grove, Oklahoma this week. We started revival Monday and are planning to close Sunday night.

We have been blessed with a great amount of visitors each night and that has been a boost to the services. Several folks from the community have visited and some of them have been in the altar. That is very encouraging. The Churches in the area have been fellowshipping too and the Cheeks from Ohio even dropped in.

Speaking of the altar services, I am so thrilled that God has been meeting us every night in the altar. It is so amazing to watch God transform lives when folks humble themselves and pray. He is waiting for us to turn to him and acknowledge our inability to help ourselves. We have witnessed first hand again this week what God can do when we do that.

Praise God for his amazing grace! Please continue to pray for us here and in the coming weeks. We go from here to Tulsa and then Wichita. After that we go back to Tulsa for our first Tent Revival of the year. Please pray that God will prepare hearts even now to receive Him. There is no telling what God can do!

We have also been blessed to have Sis. Mona Buzzard with us two nights. Sis. Mona is the widow of Bro. Leon Buzzard. Bro. Leon was a great preacher that had a tremendous influence on many, many people including our family. It was so good to see Sis. Buzzard. She is in the picture below with Kelly Jo.

Not much phone service here let's see if I can actually post this.

God bless,

Davy

Stuffed Pork Chop!

Bring on the food! I sometimes think that I blog too often about food but then my email box fills up with requests for more food pictures. Who am I to disappoint millions of readers?

This is a picture of a glorious Stuffed Pork Chop!

Stuffed Pork Chop you ask in breathless surprise? Oh yeah! A nice thick juicy Pork Chop stuffed with ground pork and all sorts of good spices. BOTH Pork Chops were absolutely delicious!

Both? Yes, once upon a time there were Two. The first one was eaten and there was only ONE. Then I remembered to take a picture. The next one was eaten and then there was NONE!

The first of May we dropped down to visit Bro. Barry Gautreaux and the fine folks in Pine Prairie. While there I slipped over to their little grocery store/meat market for some Boudin and Stuffed Chicken Thighs. (I have posted several pictures of those in the past)

I was waiting for the Chicken Thighs to be vacuum packed so we could freeze them when the Stuffed Pork Chops reached out and flung a craving on me! My only regret is that I only bought one package of them. They were so good.

There is something about that Louisiana Cajun food that I love. I guess that's what makes me part Boggeaux! Haha

Westville, Oklahoma

While in revival with Pastor Ronnie Cooper at Hale Mountain we parked the BoggsMobile at Bethany Holiness Church in Westville, Oklahoma. We appreciate Pastor Jeff Wilcher and his church for their kind hospitality. It is a great place to park and although Westville is not exactly a thriving metropolis, it does have a Sonic and that means half price sodas and slushes in the afternoon. Lol

We closed Sunday morning at Hale Mountain and preached Sunday Night at Bethany for Bro. Wilcher. It was our first time there and they received us warmly. We really enjoyed the service.

We have known Bro. Wilcher casually for years and have heard him preach during camp meetings several times. It was so good to get to know him better along with his family and Church. Below you will find a few pictures of the Westville folks.

We are off to a good start here at Iron Post. We had several visitors and a very good crowd. Pray that God sends us revival.

A Miracle At Hale Mountain

We had a great week at Hale Mountain near Morrow, Arkansas. Pastor Ronnie Cooper and his church are very gracious people. We has a good time singing and preaching all week long.

Monday night we had a good prayer line during the altar service and later we found out God had visited that night in a very special way. Bro. Cooper broke his back very severely when he was 21 years old. If I understand correctly, they fused three of his vertebra together in order to repair the break.

Pastor Ronnie Cooper and Caleb

Bro. Cooper has had trouble with his back off and on ever since. The last three years He has suffered terribly. The doctors have prescribed more and more pain medicine and it has given him very little relief. He was taking 14 pills each day for pain as of Monday.

The Hale Mountain congregation gathered around their pastor Monday night and prayed for him. The Lord touched Bro. Cooper and as of yesterday he had not needed one pain pill. From 14 pills each day to NO pain pills for six days! Praise God!

I do not know if Bro. Cooper is completely healed or not but we have been praising God for the relief he has felt. Folks, our God is still able to heal and help today! He is alive and able to hear and answer our petitions.

I share these things from time to time to build your faith. If God works for others He will work for you! Have faith, friends, that God is mindful of you.

We moved today to Iron Post Holiness Church near Locust Grove and we are starting revival tonight. We are expecting great things from God!

God Bless,
Davy

The Blankenship Family

Yesterday was a great day. We met up with Jeffrey, Rebecca, Madelyn and Andrea Blankenship for short visit. It was so good to see them!

As many of you know, Rebecca is the daughter of Bro. Larry and Sis. Rosemary Landress, our dear missionary friends. Bro. Jeffrey and Sis. Rebecca are also missionaries to Mexico. We are so glad for the way God is using them! Please keep them and all missionaries in your prayers!

Part of being in the ministry is not getting to be with friends as often as you would like. Rebecca and I have been friends for years and it seems that we never see each other enough. I first remember her when I was 4 years old. We have had some grand times together over the last 21 years! I am so thankful for her friendship!!

I am also thankful for the family God has given Rebecca. She picked up Jeffrey along they way and he is now a great friend of ours also! God has given them Madelyn and Andrea and they are precious girls. I love them so much!

Andrea is named after me, we call her "Little Odie". You all know my name "Odie" came from me crawling around with my tongue hanging out. Well, Andrea has her tongue out alot too!! She really is a "Little Odie". LOL

Here is a funnny story. Recently Madelyn told her parents that she knew Odie and Andrea's real names. She said Odie's real name is "Little Andrea" and Andrea's real name is "Little Odie". Poor Maddie, we'll have her completely confused befor it's over.

We had a wonderful time catching up with our friends! We are so thankful That Jeffery and Rebecca let us know they were passing through. We had a delicious meal at Olive Garden with them as well! I forgot to take food pics but I love Olive Garden's
soup, salad and bread sticks. I need a refill right now. If you ever eat at Olive Garden in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Sarah is a great server! She took really good care of us!

Here are pics from our visit.
