Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from the road. Revival starts tomorrow in Bernice, Louisiana. I am looking forward to a great week ahead. I hope to see some friends along the way too.

My Papa Bear, Davy Boggs, will have another birthday in a few days. He always creates beautiful blog posts for Mom and me for our birthdays. I decided to dedicate this post to honoring him.

Revival In Pictures-Gruetli Laager, TN

We enjoyed revival at Wesley Chapel Holiness Church in Gruetli Laager, Tennessee. This was our first visit to this church, but it will not be our last, by God's grace. We appreciate Pastor Roger Peyton and the nice folks from Gruetli Laager receiving us so warmly. It was a wonderful experience.

The church is beautiful!

I have known Pastor Roger Peyton most of my life. He and I were boys together at Dodds Church in Waynesville. Bro. Peyton and his family did two Kids Crusades for us in Wichita and preached a revival for us over twenty years ago. It was a joy to be with them again. KJo, Odie and I enjoyed visiting with them this week.

Odie snapped a bunch of great pictures. Here is our Revival in Pictures. I hope you enjoy.

Odie's Excellent Christmas Meal!

Our Christmas traditions have been firmly in place for many years. We have celebrated Christmas with Kelly Jo's family on Christmas Eve and with the Boggs family on Christmas Day. Early Christmas morning has always been reserved for me, KJo and Odie!

Our personal time on Christmas morning does not include a meal most times, just us together reminiscing, opening presents and being together. These traditions have worked great for us and filled Christmas with lots of joy.

Odie's first Christmas in her house added another Christmas tradition. She wanted a time to cook a meal for us and invite us into her space for a Christmas meal. Well, if it involves food, count us in.

We have added that tradition the day after Christmas at lunch time. Some years we need to roll on December 26 and we adjust accordingly, but when possible, that is our day at Odie's.

This year, she prepared an excellent meal.

Carnitas! A pork roast with green sauce and white cheese served with beans. Wow!

The carnitas were so very good and I was able to eat on them for two or three days. Wow Again! Odie may make a good cook after all. She sure is making a good effort and she can practice on me any time.

I can hardly wait until next Christmas to see what is on the table. Forget under the tree, the table is where it is for me!

Thank you for stopping by today.

A Word For Wednesday, Remembering What I Have Already Heard

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

I need a review of the things I have heard of God. I have heard His Word. I have believed His Word, But, I am prone to let those things slip in times of difficulty.

God, when my heart is overwhelmed, help me to remember what I have already heard!

Thank you for dropping by.

Our First Schedule Change of The Year

We live and die by the schedule, but there is one constant about that schedule. That constant is change. Life happens and things change. If the pandemic taught us anything, it taught us that change is coming at a moment's notice and we must roll with it.

In 2020, KJo and I were halfway around the world and less than three months into the year, our schedule changed for the year due to COVID.

In 2021, we were one month into the year, when we walked straight into COVID and our schedule changed for the year.

In 2022, our first revival had to cancel before we even left home because of a COVID outbreak.

Less than three weeks into 2022 COVID broke out during revival and we had to close early, leading to a schedule change.

In 2023, in the first week of the year, a revival scheduled for the end of January had to postpone. Thankfully, COVID had NOTHING to do with it. Hallelujah!

The Pastor's daughter is having a baby in another part of the country and the scheduled meeting was right in the middle of the excitement.

They thought it was better to reschedule now than for us to get there and they have to cancel at the last minute. I agreed wholeheartedly.

Fortunately, a Pastor had visited a revival in Texas last fall and asked me to keep him in mind if we had any last minute cancellations in the area. Odie reminded me, I sent him a text telling him about the recently opened week and he immediately invited us for revival.

He is excited, his church is excited and we are excited. I will not be surprised if we stumble right into the middle of the will of God that week. I love how God does that.

The dates are January 29-February 2, Sunday-Thursday. We will close Thursday and reserve both Friday and Saturday for travel, because the location change puts the next revival in Mississippi a little further away.

The revival will be at Payne Springs Assembly in Mabank, Texas with Pastor RC Betz.

It is a new church for us, but we have known Bro. and Sis. Betz since before they were married. We are looking forward to being in revival with them.

If you are out and about, please check our schedule and come be with us in revival. We are always super glad to have visitors!

May God bless you, friends. Thank you for stopping to see us.
