Remembering Bro. Jeremy Sipe

 Hey Friends,

“Sunday Sanity” is a little different this week. Today, we are choosing to live “Jeremy Strong”.

“Jeremy Strong, " a phrase coined a few years ago to support our dear friend Bro. Jeremy Sipe. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in his early 40s.

Glioblastoma is a very aggressive form of brain cancer. The prognosis is never good. From what I have heard, it usually takes someone quickly.

Bro. Jeremy, Bilita and Tom were missionaries to Kenya. They were the hands and feet of Jesus in Kenya. It is amazing the work God has done through their ministry, Project Holy Nations!

They were home in Elkton, Virginia, when he received the diagnosis. In an instant, their world was changed! Our family and thousands of people began asking God to give the Sipe Family a miracle!

Bro. Jeremy fought his battle with extraordinary grace and courage. He was a hero. With God’s strength, he surprised doctors so many times.

God performed many miracles for them. I can not remember them all! It was amazing to watch God work on their behalf from a distance! I would see God touch Bro. Jeremy during services on YouTube at BHC. I have cried and rejoiced with them!

Thank God, Bro. Jeremy and Sis. Bilita were able to make a couple of short trips to Kenya! That was a major answer to prayer. I know their Kenyan friend are so grateful!

Bro. Jeremy was not expected to live a year post-diagnosis. This summer was 3 years. Every milestone we celebrated with our friends. With each bad report, we prayed and believed harder!

Tuesday, Bro. Jeremy received his ultimate healing! I cried for the family and friends left behind when I received the news that morning. I rejoiced, because he is suffering no more!

It comforts me to think Dad is seeing another friend in Heaven. Dad prayed long and hard for Bro. Jeremy! Today they are rejoicing together!

Please join me in praying for Sis. Balita, Tom, their ministry, family members, the BHC church family, and many who are grieving the loss of a great hero! There will be a funeral today at BHC Elkton, Virginia. Sadly, we can not be there. I will watch it on YouTube here!

I will close by sharing a couple of videos BHC shared on YouTube this week. You can get a glimpse of the courageous soldier, Bro. Jeremy Sipe.

We have a reason to rejoice! He made it through the valley.  We will see you again my friend!

Bilita, Tom and BHC, we love you all! You are in our prayers!

We are so thankful for Papaw. He is the greatest Dad, Papaw and Pap-Pap! Papaw always makes life fun.

Papaw we love you so much! Thank you for the always being there for us! You have been a constant support in our life!

We cannot see you to celebrate this weekend. Hopefully, we can connect with you in just a few days!

My original plan was to use one of Papaw's favorite sayings as a “Sunday Sanity” tomorrow. Now I have something else on my brain for tomorrow. That is why I chose today to Papaw’s birthday!

I just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday! And once again, tell you that we love you from the bottom of our hearts! I pray you have a wonderful birthday! each year is a gift from God and you are also a gift from God to our family!

Thanks for reading! See you all tomorrow.

Foodie Friday Friends Family And Furry Friends

Hey Friends,

Happy Friday! Welcome to August! 2025 is sailing right by. I find it hard to believe that fall is right around the corner!

I have had an incredible week! It has been wonderful to fellowship with family and friends. We have enjoyed some delicious food along the way! It is a joy to experience laughter and friendship!

My friends Emily and Nathan Roberts came to get me on Wednesday evening. We had wanted to go out for dinner for a long time, and Wednesday was the appointed day. Mexican was on the menu, and I was all for that!

Alcapulco was just as good as ever! Our friends there took great care of us. Pictures do not do the food justice. I apologize that you cannot taste or smell this food!

I enjoyed the evening with Emily and Nathan! Thank you so much, my dear friends for spending part of your day with me! You will never know how much it meant to me!

On the way home from Acapulco, a sudden heavy rain popped up. We had to wait it out for a few moments in the car.

Wednesday, my cousin Lauren Osborn sent me this picture of the beach cottage. This was taken from the Dodds church parking lot.

Thanks, Lauren, for capturing this beautiful picture. I love to see a rainbow! I am reminded of the promises of God every time!

Also, here is another photo that I captured that evening. it was cool enough for me to enjoy my porch and a beautiful sunset!

Thursday, it was time for more family and fellowship! The rain continued so the party came to me! The beach cottage became the party house.

They brought Raising Cane's with them too! It was scrumptious. my friends spoil me! 😂

I was thrilled to have my cousins Sarah, Bethany, Rebecca, Emerson, Grace Brylee and Clayton visit me! I think we all laughed until we hurt. It was just what the doctor ordered for all of us!

I say it a lot, but I am so thankful for these ladies and their families! They have been my heroes since I was a girl. We have grown up together and experienced a lot of life. I'm so thankful for them! Thank you for taking time for me! I love you all so much!

Yes, we missed you, Rodney, Philip, Brandon and Bryson! I knew I would get that question from them. 🤣

Here is one more visitor to the beach cottage I caught on camera this week.

I have seen rabbits often. This little bunny stayed in this spot for a long time! I guess he was being my guard rabbit that night. I usually see them down by our barn, not in front of the house.

Thank you for reading. See you all tomorrow!
